  • Here we had an incredibly wet, heavy very dense snowstorm, this is what we call ocean snow but this stuff was more extreme than we normally see as far as how wet it was and not actually being "slush" but still snow. You could literally ring the water out of it and still have a hard-packed ball in your hand. Though only 4 to 6 inches it can be more of a project to remove than twice as much or more of normal snow. We used the 1992 Ingersoll 4120 with the hydraulic drive snow-castor 48 inch. The 1984 Case Ingersoll 448 has a 48 in belt snow blower on. We restored both of these machines in the summer of 2022. But the motors and pumps on them are still original. These Commercial duty garden tractors are amazing and never say no. We have a few videos of different models doing snow removal with different setups as well as plows. As well as the Case Ingersoll loaders. Be sure to check them out! We also have many how-to and informational videos.

    Great video. Great power there. Good traction too. We here in PEI are getting a storm like that Tuesday through to Thursday. I may use my Case 446. It was acting up a little the last time I used it. I’ll take a video of it. If it doesn’t work, I’ll use the John Deere 140H3 or the LGT 165 Ford or the Case 224 will do the job.
    Have a great day.

    Have a case 1979 it's a work horse with the snow blower and I have a cab as well chains. Got my open for a mower for it. This was my dad's purchase new at the time . They need to build this tractor again. It's sure nice to know that parts are still available for them.

      Yes they are great machines, nothing then or since has been built like them. That's cool it's been in your family from day one. Thank s for watching, the comment too. Let us know if we can help with parts or anything.

    What is better for a long driveway that also has a bit of slope? Snowblower or plow attachment?

      So there is no easy answer. It is mostly preference. And its 50/50 half prefer a blower the other prefer the plow. Couple things to consider.What type of snow do you most often get. If it is very very wet and super heavy, the blowers do not do as well as they do in regular snow or powder snow where they really shine. Also blowers do use a bit of power to run so make sure your blower is sized to your machine. Bigger power machines run blowers better. If you have room for snow then plows are good as well if you can push it to the sides or make piles, where blowers you can really throw it 30 feet or more out of the way in the right conditions. Blower travel speed more often is a bit slower. In wet snow and slush blades do great as they do with any type of snow. Lots of owners have both as Case Ingersoll change over is very easy and fast and also it is very common for Case Ingersoll owners to own multiple machines. As far as slope or lenght of driveway there is no advantage to one over the other except maybe in "feet" of snow pushing "up" hill will work the machine mach harder and depending on how steep slope, type of snow and traction maybe a issue in extreme case uphill. Wish I had a straight answer for you lol. Thanks for watching and the comment.

      @@caseingersolltractorsnortheast cool. Do you like these better than the wheel horse? I'm trying to figure out which garden tractor is the best bang for the buck and has good attachments. These seem pretty good but pricey.

    • @caseingersolltractorsnortheast
      @caseingersolltractorsnortheast  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @mhess427 yes by far. These are in a class by themselves as commercial garden tractors. Not much compares to them price is relative and these not only hold their value, often gain value. You get what you pay for. Lots of info at caseingersolltractors.com thanks
