I remember wearing fanny packs riding skateboards as a kid in the 80s and very early 90s. All of a sudden people would make fun of anyone wearing one. We all had them back then, a SK8 key, wallet, butterfly knife and I always heard the older guys had a gun.
I’ve been utilizing a fanny pack for over 10 years now. Excellent choice for carry. I mean how else do you carry a firearm to the beach? You could also adjust/move the pack to your strong side. There by inducing your instinct you to reach for your hip. Granted the initial draw of removing the gun is different, but as with everything...training and practice.
I learned how good a fanny pack was during a bug out when you are humping a ruck and the straps are shoving your guns into your kidneys. Galco makes great gear!
I appreciate them and you with the classy way you deal with the 50 inch waist. It was only 7 months ago that that was me. Now, thanks be to God, I'm a 38. Everyone is at different stages on the path. Mocking someone for being "behind" is a dick move. You never know the why's, and you never know where you'll end up one day. Everyone on the path is my buddy. At the beginning, middle or end, the destination is the same.
Thank you for the review James, that looks like a quality pack. That appeared to be a shield blue gun. With all the guns out there today do you still consider the shield to be the best/smallest fighting pistol?
I found one of the hardest parts on my journey to stop being a big guy was the lack of accommodation for big guys. Simple things like decent underwear and pants to make exercise more enjoyable. Hopefully I'll never need the big guy stuff again, but those companies that looked out for me then, I'll look out for them now. We're all on the same journey brother. And sometimes other reasons make the journey harder for some than others. As long as you try you can keep your head held high 👍
@Jones here here! Freaking tight around the calves jeans do my head in. As I've lost weight though I've discovered another pain about modern clothing. It's too short for a lot of people. Most brands for me either the sleeves and or the general length are way too short (I'm 6'4"). Lucky I'm a man of simple tastes. 3 different shirts is all I really "need". One pair of jeans and one pair of cargo pains and I'm a happy boy.
If you’re doing a rigorous hike, does this slide around. If I place the pack somewhat to the side of my waste, how do ensure it doesn’t slide all around?
I'm a fat guy and have been working out and losing weight. I'm gonna have to get one of these for when working out and walking/jogging. Better option than the sling pack I currently use.
Thanks for the video good info. Fanny pack not sure why it’s called a fanny pack because it involves a belt and a pouch so yeah I’m more comfortable with the term pouch. I work with leather and gathering info and ideas. So thanks again for the demo. Oh why not call it a pouch unless you have a kangaroo phobia. Lol have a great day!
Clyde, the name originated with enduro racing/riding. The pack was positioned at the small of the back out of the way and contained tools for track or trail side repairs.
I still get shit every so often from people for my Maxpedition "manpurse". Guess what y'all, I don't care. As they still say in scouts "Be prepared for anything and everything". Taking that motto to heart has definitely been invaluable to me over the years.
MagicTurtle Yeah there isn’t much gun stuff, or cool shit, that’s the only scene like that. It’s mostly two chics scraping by on minimum wage from what I can tell.
Fighting Fannypack with James Yeager! Let's get nutnfancy in a class finally

RIP James
Thanks for standing up for us big guys.
I remember watching Jay’s workout videos.. There’s no way I’m gonna make fun of that Nightmare

We have all humped a fatty at some point
I use a fanny pack also when I go running or ride my bike. It works way better than a belly band, more comfortable and breathes better.
Saw this on your instagram but didn't understand how cool it was until I saw that blue gun flip up like that...
"Jay Gibson wore one for years and no one ever made fun of him." LOL. Best line yet!

Yes
The Galco FASTRAX PAC actually works quite well, as an alternative means I’d concealed carry.
yea, they're GTG
Glad they’re looking out for us big guys.

Tactical fannypack...?
ABOUT DAMN TIME
That is perfect! No more swinging maxpedition bag.
Thanks James this is a Great pack , going to order two more! Finally a way to get my wife to carry
Nice!
Can this fit a Glock 19 ????

I have a S&W model 60 Pro revolver with a 3" barrel. Which model pack do I want?
Looks like it could be used over one shoulder and maybe add a strap for a chest holster in the back country.
Nice product..only feedback I'd suggest is quieter zippers..
Rip brother

Will this fit a BYRNA SD with a Mercy Less Lethal and Baldr mini laser?
Fanny pack, official holster of Florida. Some even carry a gun in one.
They will only make fun of you till you lift heavier than everyone in the commercial gym.
will a canik tp9 sfx fit in this thing?
That's an interesting pack... I like the pivot holster idea...
Fastrax Pac vs ComfortTac Ultimate Fanny Pack Holster which is the best to buy for a Glock 26 ?
Fastrax all day long.
I have their old Fanny pack and it’s still going strong. Once my old one breaks I’ll buy a fast trac
How small does the waistband go? Where can I get one?

Very informative James, thankyou.
Very interesting James. This looks like a keeper brother. Thank you.
Stay Safe, Bee Well.
Thanks for the video I thought I was the only man that had a fanny pack
Good idea with the zips.
Does it take a full size pistol ? ie VP9?
I still get shit every so often from people for my Maxpedition "manpurse". Guess what y'all, I don't care. As they still say in scouts "Be prepared for anything and everything". Taking that motto to heart has definitely been invaluable to me over the years.
Nice. Is it pretty universal or made for specific pistols?
Most any small/medium sized pistol will fit.
@@TacticalResponseCrew Thanks James!
Thanks for the review. Buying one.
Its legit.
I have been looking for something like this.
I want one. For ages 38 and up. All you guys and gals in your 20s might want to pass.
That didnt look like a 19... did you use a shield for that test? It was kinda hard to tell...
Its a Shield
I absolutely want one.
Time to retire my old Galco fanny pack :-) I don't care I've always called it that.
I'm sure you could already have that first zipper open if you thought you might have gotten into a bad situation and may have to pull the gun out.
Ear buds with a cord are still the poor boy way to roll.
I was commietube unsubscribed from your channel brother. Not even sure how long I've been missing your work! Pisses me off!!!
Great video 👍!!!
I made fun of Jay Gibson...I called it a, "bum bag." That said, I'm interested!
"jay wore one for years and no one made fun of him" do you blame them?
"what they gonna do, make fun of me? Hè Hè Hè" :-)
Regular 10 dollar fanny pack works. To many people selling overpriced junk on TH-cam
I love this idea for when having a backpack on, think it would fit a G19? Or just to tight....
Not sure. I will try.
@@TacticalResponseCrew ty sir
19 is too big.
@@TacticalResponseCrew ty for letting me know man
Practical!
Hey whatever happened with that tactical belly band thing you were going to outfit with a kydex holster?
I guess you missed the last live stream.
Whenever I see fanny pack carry, or hear someone say “manny pack” I think of this scene th-cam.com/video/_k0PsisNs9Q/w-d-xo.html
OMG i have never seen that show, i needed to see that lmfao
