    Summer in the south is always brutal. Weapon concealment is difficult at best, and tough on the weapon being next to the body. Perspiration is a destructive element on any firearm. Carrying your handgun in the bag that is displayed here makes perfect sense. Thank you Brian for showing us a more practical method to carrying your weapon.

  • @WatchUnwind

    just bought one of these I think it’s a good idea. My problem I have always had is I wear athletic clothes everyday shorts or joggers. On the waste band holsters always pulled my pants down and normal waist holsters require a belt which you don’t wear a belt with joggers or athletic shorts. You can draw pretty fast from this when you practice. The zipper and string pull is at the same time basically then you draw. I’d say almost as fast as a normal draw from a traditional waist band holster

    • @SurvivalOnPurpose
      @SurvivalOnPurpose  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is about as fast as clearing a cover garment if you are carrying with a holster under a shirt of jacket.

    I like it, but I really wish theyd use Kydex for the holster.
    I know I'm paranoid, but I just dont trust a chambered non-safety striker fired gun like my Glock 43X or Sig P365 outside of kydex.
    I'd totally carry my Shield 45 with safety or my Sig P238 in one though.

      the leather is pretty siff. stiff enough to protect the trigger. of course, like any leather holster, you will need to keep en eye on it for wear which could become an issue when re-holstering.

  • @johnmarken3945

    Ive tried this galco pack. Leaves a lot to be desired. One, that its rather gagety. Its bulky. Its too minimal, meaning it doesn't fit the bill as a fanny pack for the rest of the crap like phone, wallet, asthma inhale, kiife, keys. There are better options. Although I'm not totally satisfied with what I am using now, I think a superior pack and much better bang for $ is the ComfortTac Ultimate Fanny Pack Holster claims compatible with glock 26 etc. It comes in compact and ultracompact. The internal holster is vertical not sidways with 2mag holders. I also add a trigger cover on a lanyard tho not required. I can think of some mods to this I'd make but a better start.

    I like the idea, but I hate zippers, and just do not trust them at all. A smaller version with a different mechanism other than a zipper would be more attractive to ,e. zippers wear out, they can get stuck, they can be hard to find in an emergency, and can easily be worn down or stuck by debris, esp if you're outdoors. great idea otherwise!

    • @SurvivalOnPurpose
      @SurvivalOnPurpose  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In my opinion, this is not for full time everyday carry. It’s for when you can’t wear your regular holster but still need a solid, safe way to carry your pistol (loaded with the trigger protected). I used mine earlier this evening while doing some cardio walking/jogging. I’m fine with the zipper and, like anything else, you need to practice drawing your pistol until it is second nature.

    By that I mean that actually completely covers the trigger guard with kydex and has pressure retention?
