@@eggsclusive12 Harari is not exactly evil, or an a-h--, he’s found a niche of fame and recognition by giving what he presents as “historical” and “social” context for the pet ideas of the #WEF. I’ve heard him say humans have “no free will” in one speech, and then say the “Ukrainians are exercising their free will” in another. He contradicts himself all the time, depending on whom he’s trying to impress or please. He seems very insecure and needy of the approval of father figures like nazi Klaus Schwab, which makes for a weird, contradictory and somewhat pitiable character. He cannot, therefore, truly affect our lives. It’s up to us to demonstrate to arrogant megalomaniacs, that they are not our betters or overlords. As he has said so many times, it will take a shift in attitude to a can do mentality. If the economy could flourish during the destructive non productive war then all it would take is the political will to make a better world and flourish along the way. If you too pessimistic for that you might as well drop out and wait to die because we're in for starvation worse than the 30's when instead of using that political will to feed the starving, they burned food. But scarcity is profitable to the elite!

    • @sheilamckenzie1479

Otherwise we have the continual cycles of the poor losing their property in the inevitable recessions and the elite buying it all up at rock bottom prices only to sell it back to us when its profitable until the next inevitable cycle! So if you think that's better than a change in economic philosophy, then I hope you get exactly that. Maybe after a few more cycles you be ready to humanize your attitude?

I have NOT given up, I'm politically engaged.
My point is simply that any society is composed of individuals, and if those individuals evolve mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, the society will also evolve.
There are a lot of really bad, greedy, sociopathic people in power, as our capitalist system incentivizes such behavior.
If you want political traction, you need to learn the truth about how the monetary system actually works.
Federal taxes do NOT fund Federal spending.
State taxes do fund State spending because States are USERS of the fiat currency, whereas the Federal government is the creator.
Federal taxes are what cause the need, and thus gives value to, our unbacked, fiat currency.
You have to pay taxes and you have to pay them in dollars.
There's a LOT of disinformation and outright lies. The Federal Reserve is not the problem, it's just an arm of the government, specifically Congress, granted "the power of the purse" by the US Constitution.
Read Stephanie Kelton's new book, "The Deficit Myth," or just learn Modern Monetary Theory, or MMT.
MMT is a cure for neoliberal austerity.
But imo, the system is probably beyond reform, and only direct actions will bring about real change.
I put what little hope I have in the burgeoning labor movement.
Chris Smalls is a hero in my book.
It's not productive to make assumptions and criticize potential allies.

Economically yes, having retirement at all was a right that we got through the power we held and hold as workers. Cause the system needs us we can get certain rights such as insurances, retirement, working rights and so on. But when there is an increasing amount of people that are irrelevant for the economical system these rights might diminish as the power that is being held by workers decreases, someone that is not needed does not hold any power. A worker gets the promise of retirement cause he is needed, and cause he demands it. Not cause of the generosity of the elite

I feel what Russell was conveying is that one of the most powerful aspects to being a human being is love and caring for our fellow human beings, which the elite have ceased to be able to do. Self sufficiency and organized communities of people being able to maintain themselves in the world without governments or the need for them seems to be the direction many countries will need to go in order to get out from under any powerful interests wanting to control or oppress them or defining whether they are worthless or "useless" or not. Yuval seems to feel that the common people have no ability to self organize or self govern, which is what he eluded to when describing the Arab Spring and Gandhi's failure with his agrarian vision. Yuval responded with "when you need to feed a billion people"....The people in India have the ability and means to feed themselves. Their civilization has been around a lot longer than the western world. It's the fact that they have folks like Bill Gates telling them they need to grow GMO foods and need to export their foods to the rest of the world in order to be a part of the Global economy that is the problem. I believe we can impact algorithms. They noted this after 9/11. We just need to find some way to do it in a more positive way. Using mass love instead of mass fear. And I don't believe "resistance is futile".

    • @matarr222
      @matarr222 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

First of all, we should not delude ourselves that the world has ever functioned on the basis of mutual love, nor that it ever will. The real skill that can help us conceptualize our future is to accept that reality. Any system that works against this basic human nature must end in a dictatorship.

I feel that if this guy was Schwabs top advisor well what happened? I happen to agree that we need a sense of patriotism. I also feel that ultranistic ways of looking at stuff needs to be balanced. I do not believe in my humble opinion that mass immigration is a good idea I feel its very unrealistic and its why things have gotten crazy. I believe every country needs a new way of governance one where the government cares about community which so far has kinda worked. Its just that governments have become corrupted and institutions are ill because of greed and nepotism. We are edging towards something better with the freedom protesters but like Russell I feel that awareness of where we are as humans is very important. The churches need to get back to where they started and they need a massive make over. Its so much murkier these days. When it was the days of swords I feel it was a lot cleaner. If you thieved you lost a hand if you hurt a child you lost your head. I do have a new idea for society which I am mulling over but money is a problem not personally but globally ( and personally but I am working on that )At this🙊🙈🙉💥🌿🤡 moment in time we should hold fast to ethics and build around principles. So this was in 2019. Honestly, considering the intention of Brand's show, which is working for The Great Awakening, I do not see what Harari is doing there. Harari works for the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwabe and The Great Reset, the opposit of the Great Awakening. I do not know Yuval's books, but I have seen a couple of video's with him and JP Sear's latest video on his channel Awakenwithjp: "Is Klaus Schwabe the most dangerous man in the world?" and I think this video brillantly delivers the essence of what Harari is working for. Harari's convictions on evolution stem from a total identification with the human mind, which is, as Eckhart Tolle, also invited in one of Brand's shows, has explained in his book "The power of now, is the core error of humans and hindrance for advance on the spiritual path. Harari says computers and their data have now gone far beyond the capacity of the human mind, and further evolution has to go through computers. He speaks of humans as hackable animals precisely because of his identification with the mind as intelligence itself, which is a complete illusion. Tolle and those working for the Great Awakening are supposed to understand that the mind and computers are to be used as a tool , but are not the source of our natural intelligence. Harari does not understand this and now in fact is working as a top adviser Schwabe and the Agenda to enslave humanity in a Zombie World the Elite wants to rule over. Brand is extremely naive in repeatedly inviting Harari and in being captivated by Harari's ideas. Harari works for artificial intelligence to annihilate natural intelligence, which can only flower by learning to disidentify with your own mind.

Paywalls put me (and based on research, many people) off more because of the hassle than the actual cost. The closest thing I have to an idea atm is something where the user has a wallet that is built into (or is an add on) for a browser, loads it with some value token (brave browser and BAT come to mind) would give the user the freedom to pay a la carte for episodes of UTS quickly and easily. Something like that where I could put some of my entertainment budget into the browser and have it at the ready would get me over the paywall pain point.

Paywalls or walled-gardens on the internet are fascinating contradictions because you need the wall to create a toll-booth to extract money. But you also need attention funnelled to the wall. So how do you get the attention. With free content, of course. This is how you build the audience. At the very least you need offer free ads to get attention. Patreon is a well known walled-garden where 90% of people don't make money or grow an audience. The 10% who do are those who already had an audience before they went to Patreon, or they have an attention funnel based elsewhere which directs traffic to Patreon. Attention operates the same on TH-cam. 90% of the views go to 10% of the channels. The other 90% of channels languish in oblivion.

      Voltaire Gaming just a thought:
Maybe the beaver creating a dam is natural because it is driven by instinct/intuition or to say another way; it’s connection to itself and possibly the whole. The unnatural could be any action put in motion by the ego/constructed self which may may be cut off from instinct/intuition because it is motivated by constructed illusitory fears.
But, then again, one could argue the development of the ego/constructed self is a natural response to the evolution of the human mind.

Two important problems humanity is facing right now:
    1. Technology vs Nature:
We need to keep in mind not to destroy nature in our quest for technological wonder. Nature is the ultimate beauty. It is the ultimate meaning to life. Without it we have nothing. Life is not watching something on a screen.
    2. Respect vs Fear:
Love is respect. Fear turns to hate.
We are all animals wanting the same things. To stay alive and be social in beautiful surroundings. We should be farmers and gatherers and respect each other. All hate stems from fear.
We think we are so clever compared to all other beings on this earth. What absolute nonsense. Nature is so amazingly incredible. Dogs (for example) are experiencing a sensory world we humans know next to nothing about and can never experience. Yet it doesnt matter that we cant experience it, because the sheer joy of knowing that the dog is happy exploring its world, is all we ever need.
Every animal is a genius in its own way. And so are humans. We dont have to run from ourselves. The way humans are exploiting animals has got to change. It is bad karma not to be kind to every single animal you see. We are all one. When our world suffers we suffer. And we create our own world. Our attention creates the world.
Look outside: Winter is beautiful, autumn is beautiful, all four seasons are beautiful. We can make agriculture tools with incredible durability now if the right people got together. Stuff that could last forever. Farming enough to eat doesnt have to be automated to be enough for survival. We know better now.
When we collaborate, share and trade the outcome of our intuitive skills and interests, we can live perfectly content lives without harming anyone (or our ourselves). We didnt have that knowledgle before but we do know! We just need to wake up and use what we have to get to a good place.
Our bodies are made for working. For gathering, exploring, cultivating and making love. We even have muscles that wither away when we dont use them. What does that tell you? Think about it for a moment.
    Life is beautiful.

    • @Brubarov
      @Brubarov 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Absolutely! I would add to your 1st point that Human beings are part of nature, and we do not need to be changed - like other living beings. We are already perfect with our imperfections. Giving love to this part of ourselves seems to have been problematic in the last centuries, culturally speaking.
