One of the rare V6s that can still sound good with an after market system
It’s like a mountain lion or cougar, not the fiercest sounding cat but it’ll get the job done
Yep the 4.3 Chevy and the dodge 3.9 sound good with aftermarket systems
Might be because it’s 3/4s of a 350 V8.
Also the 3.0 Ford ranger and 3800 camaro
Not really a gm guy but the 4.3 is probably one of the best sounding 6 bangers out there
Oh, those 90's dash displays.... Brings back memories. Had a '89 Astro van 4.3 V6, drove that thing for 300,000 miles.... no real issues.
Good choice for a muffler. Not too loud, not too quiet. I wish there was a take off. They are one of the best sounding V6s made. Very V8 like at idle.
that green one from a few months ago with the dual tip side exit passenger side. I'm not sure if you remember but it was the best 4.3 I heard

Im sure you already know this but the 4.3 is just a 350 smallblock with the front two cylinders chopped off. Uses all the same parts.

Woaaah this is best video for couple of reasons:
1. Exhaust Addicts has done for one of their employee.
2. That never sounded like a V6, great sound.
3. Good taste clean truck.

If anyone here is trying to choose a muffler for their car/truck (I have a 4.3 just like this guy), I'll tell you the FlowFX muffler is great because it's not too loud at all, but still makes the engine audible. It sounds really sweet too. It's the type of volume where at high RPM the noise of the engine up front overcomes the exhaust in the cab, meaning not loud enough where you need to raise your voice to talk to someone in the cab or turn the radio up higher than you normally would. I was considering all of those factors before finally installing one of these on my '00 Envoy and it's excellent.

3" is too big for that setup. But love the truck and glad it doesn't sound like most 6 cylinders. And if that milage is correct, ITS A GEM!!!!!!
3" is fine. It's single exhaust and has a cat AND muffler.
Would 3 inch hurt on same size motor silverado but has no cats
@@johntubbs8940 seems like a waste of time and money for something that makes like 140whp, would probably depend on the muffler you used. Flowmasters are really restrictive and terrible for flow so if you used one of those I doubt you'd notice any difference other than losing a bit of much needed torque.

@@johntubbs8940 the only thing that's gonna flow better than one of those turbo mufflers is something straight through, or straight pipes. Google it.

I drive a lowered 92 with 4.3 and I've had that same setup and the drone was ridiculous. There's plenty of room under there to go over the axle and the cherry bomb extreme sounds the best. But 4.3s don't sound great really ever.
