@@mch_xyz Sadly Converse doesnt have a website for my country. Would have to ship from the UK and thats not worth the extra cost for shoes like that lol.
HUGE fan of the Blacksmith boots. I have an older (~2016) pair of Beckman boots that are in a very similar style, albeit black leather as opposed to crimson. They look amazing, and yours will continue to patina with age. Thanks for the video!
Excellent! Nice diverse shoe, and boot, collection. I’m an OG GenXer, American 🇺🇸, sharing my recommendations for consideration by you young bucks! 1) Allen Edmonds - Factory Seconds (Quality Classic styles + Classics reimagined). Will last a lifetime if you maintain them 2) Tony Lama Cowboy Boots ❤ 3) Lucchesse Cowboy Boots - get the dark brown goat leather Roper Style 🎉 4) Santoni Brown Suede “Carlo” Loafer. Yes, they are expensive at $990 retail, yet so comfortable and classy ❤ 5) Red Wing Iron Rangers in Black. The 2024 version has a low key lugs on the sole and is incredibly comfortable out of the box 📦. Will last a lifetime, if you maintain them 6) Converse low cut, white, Chuck tailors, originals. Toss them into the washing machine when needed. 7) Sperry Top Siders, dark brown leather originals. You can’t be a Preppy without having a pair 😊 8) Allen Edmonds - Park Avenue cap toe shoes (black or cordovan). Sometimes you will need to wear a proper suit, and tie, and you will feel like the successful, confident, man that you are when you lace these bad boys up 🎉 9) Chelsea Boots - Dark Brown Suede. I bought a pair in a Tokyo department store circa 2010. Go to Tokyo one day and buy yourself a pair 🗼 10) Alden “Indys” 403 Classics Brown ChromeExcel That is all
@@JamesLeung you have plenty of time to acquire the “classics” and the cool modern stuff. When I was your age, I was already married, and had two little kids. We needed to be frugal. My kids, and wife, came first when it came to shoes. I had 6 pairs of foot wear: ASICS running shoes (needed them to stay fit for work (I served in the U.S. Marine Corps), Sperry Top Siders, Black patent leather shoes to wear with my USMC dress uniforms, black leather combat boots, black leather jungle combat boots, and a pair of J.C. Penny “Stafford” brand black cap toe dress shoes. “We have all the time in the world.” Winston Churchill
Nice to see some red wings on here. I'm personally a fan of the iron ranger boot, I have 2 pairs, a brown and a charcoal grey/ black. Basically same as the blacksmith booth with a more bulbous toe cap and look a bit more rugged. Will second that the sizing is a bit big on them, I had to go down about a full size personally but half a size should do too
For breaking in leather shoes I recommend lightly heating the area with a hair dryer and then applying a leather conditioner before you put them in helps break them in slightly
I think I need some new Chucks. Especially when I saw from your link that they are now available in wider widths. They were a long time a staple in my wardrobe, but since a few years they aren't. About the mixes yarn laces on the Danners. I think I like them more than the original red one. Big fan of the Red Wing Blacksmith. Sadly they don't have them in a wider width. But the Iron Rangers are available as such. I'm sitting on them for a while now. And still I like them. So they will be my next pair of shoes. Thanks for showing your collection and see ya 😁
That’s great to hear about the Chuck 70s! I know a lot of people struggle with how narrow they are. The Iron Rangers are a great choice as well, very similar to the Blacksmith - hope you enjoy them! Thanks for watching 🙏
Awesome video as always! But scratched my head when you said you want something for walking and more active wear since you own the New Balance ones already. Is these not consider as typical walking/jogging/sport shoes anymore and just a fashion trend?
For me they are just style shoes but you’re right I suppose they’re great for walking. I just meant something waterproof and really grippy like an ACG shoe or something!
@@JamesLeung Ah I see, I thought you meant like going for long walks on a normal day. But yeah like you said ACG is better for rough terrain and waterproof if that's what you're on the hunt for. I have just been thinking of the whole phenomenon about the trend with "dad shoes" like they would just be a fashion piece rather what they were meant for.
Hi James, Do you know a dark blue jeans with elegantly done sand wash, I am looking for quite a while but can't find them anywhere. Also would love to see your bottoms collection. Lots of love.
Certainly would not wear blacksmiths with a suit, but to each their own. The new beckmans or some flatboxes perhaps with a casual tweed suit...but that is still stretching it
It would be cool if you could make a video on your office outfits in case you have a business casual or smart casual dress code. I am looking for some office wear inspiration that does not look like any other NPC
When the Samba hype was up I always thought they're overrated, but literally recently, the past half a year, I started to really like them and thinking about getting some. 😅
I've been eyeing those Danner's. I usually go US9.5 with New Balances, Nike, etc. Should I go 9.5 too or just go with 10? I have a pretty wide feet and the toebox looks so narrow on the Danner's
Hi James, do You mind to share your size in those; sambas, Adrian loafers and in the Danner. I want to buy one pair of danner boots but I need to order online. Thank you in advance.
I could nitpick most of your choices for one reason or another, but the Chisos I found ran too small and not as rugged as anticipated. I guess if you're just getting one pair of Western boots to poke around at your local cafe, the price won't bother you so much?
I'm sure I've watched RA vids about those RW blacksmith ones, but I'll put them back on my list to consider for the future and maybe watch vid again t' see why I got other things instead. Possibly they don't come in my size is pretty common w' lots of brands that offer side things from the Main Menu, etc.
I've mostly preferred the Low Top All-Stars for confort and looks. I associate the High Top ones with 8th Grade schoolboys more than anything. [What ye call Middle School there?] The Low Tops were more of a classic 60s college look here that became a proper throwback look in the 90s for people who weren't trying to look overtly clownish to play "alternative" music in tacky thrift store outfits and such.
And the regular ones are cheaply made compared to the 70s ones and harder on your feet because no arch support, but they also have the more correct vintage look without that extra white sidewall and such.
I've had too many boots with zippers fail me on the trail and not even realized that I was hiking with no side support............ Just stay up ONE MORE MILE.......... ugh
It's insane luck that you can use chuck 70s in your actual shoe size, everyone I know has had to use a different size because they're amazing shoes, but the toe box is stupidly narrow :(

Nice collection man! Gotta be the Solovair Astronauts for me! Live in my Derbies from them at the moment
They are banging! So glad I got them
Had to sell my two chuck 70s because they messed my pinky toe up. Sucks because I love the design on them.
That happened to me as well! I sized up by half and they are perfect now
Wide feet problems 😢
I have the same problem that's why i only have them with double zipper which widen the the toe room
They released a wide version of their Chuck '70s not so long ago. You can check their website.

Blacksmith is te pair i have too. They are very well made and quite versatile. I think i did suggest them in your previous vid
Another great video James! Have a good day! ✌️
Thanks, you too mate! 🙌
Dude, those black denim pants that you’re wearing with the our legacy boots are so sick! Do you mind me asking what kind they are?
For breaking in leather shoes I recommend lightly heating the area with a hair dryer and then applying a leather conditioner before you put them in helps break them in slightly
Better to use shoe trees/shoe strechers that are meant for that.
Thanks both 👍
Would be interested in seeing the types of professional fits you wear at the office!
Those USA mountain boots I prefer the laces over the boot
Agreed, Chucks will never not be in my regular rotation.
hey man! great vid! what jeans are you wearing with the cameon boots here, btw? seems like a cropped/loose fit pair?
Thank you! They’re just the Weekday Astro jeans but I pulled them up 👍

kinda surprised about not seeing the Ann Ds here anymore!

Is there any cheaper alternative for the second boots!!?
