cheapest mora here in the netherlands is the 3rd one in this video and can be found for a meagre 6 euros in store brand colours. Mine is from Hornbach stores and features it's trademark dark grey / orange colour scheme.
The Classic Mora was the first knife I used. It was used for everything. Gutting fish, making bow and arrow and so on. It was very good quality and really affordable and the only con was that it didn't have a fingerguard. The Helle Hunter is my favorite knife, it has been abused in so many ways that it should have been broken years ago, but still work as a charm.
The Mora Bushcraft Black was pretty much the top Mora knife before they came out with the Garberg and Kansbul. I have one that has a sheath that holds a Ferro rod. I love using it.
My first mora was also the clipper by Frost I bought it in London about 50 years ago, I use it mostly to teach my grand children how to sharpen, hone and polish a scandi blade.
Gotta love Mora, I'm like you, can't stop buying them 🤣 and the Kansbol is my current favorite as well.
since I saw Mora's for the first time, I loved them! and as everyone, with time passing by I also formed some sort of collection... all in all if I had to choose just one, I would go for the Companion, since it has the best price-utility ratio. Said this I have to state that my favorite and main knife is the Bushcraft Black. And if I would have to concentrate on a set for some specific tasks I would say that a Companion/Bushcraft would do the woodworking, a Flex the food-prep, and the batoning and heavy tasks would go to the Robust... besides Mora I also own other swedish knives, like Hultafors, which offers great quality to amazing prices! My next target is however the Terävä Jääkkäripuukko inspired by the cutting edge issued to the Finnish Army...
Have a look at the 106, it’s laminated stainless with carbon steel core. It’s the go-to knife for spoon carving before you use a hook knife for the bowl (they do several in left and right hand, I recommend one of the double sided ones). Check out one of the spoon carving videos, Jill Swan of the Spoon Academy is one of the UKs finest teachers and she’s very cool! Great videos, keep it up mate!
I currently have about 6 Mora knives, since I watched this video I now have 4 more on the way. I used a Mora chisel about daily when I worked.
I got a few companions and The Robust. My robust is pretty much my EDC knife. Has not failed me yet. It didnt take long to get some rust and spots on the carbon blade though since i to live in a humid area. But I gave it a cool patina and made the blade Greyish black with apple cider Vinagre and now it looks even more cool. They are beast knives. These make awesome gifts for the holidays and birthdays for almost anyone. I got my Brother the chisel style one and he loves it. Always has it in his toolbelt.
The big 3 performance/price winners for general bushcraft knifes on the current market are:

Personally i like the bushcraft most...Its lighter than a mora garberg and has the same performance.

My fist mora was one my dad got from his mom in the 80s right from Sweden
I have two, the Mora Classic No. 2, which was my first Mora. And the Mora Heavy Duty Companion, its a great knife and I use it far more at home then I have ever used it in the woods. It came with a 27 degree edge, for battoning wood, even said that in the paper work I got with it. But, since I don't do that with a knife. I put a 24 degree edge and I'm very happy with it. Good knives. Oh the Heavy Duty Companion, is stainless steel.
Yeah, it is hard just having one Mora for sure - I think I have around 40 or so. It's also good to see knives that have actually been USED. Never trust a "bushcrafter" with a perfect, shiny knife!
Mora also makes spoon carvers in both straight blade and hook blade styles
Mora knives are wonderful.
My first one was the laminated Frost whittler that I got around 1993.
I probably have about a couple dozen now and they are very handy tools.
Wow and I was feeling guilty about getting another Mora after buying a Kansbol and falling in love with the brand. These knives are addictive.

I personally like the bushcraft in stainless for my adventures. It has the sharpener and a fire steel build in perfect all around knife in my opinion.

I have quite a few Mora knives and the Companion was my first one too. My favorite, is probably the Bushcraft Black. The handle is incredibly comfortable. It does have the carbon steel blade, so it may rust on you. A product called Evaporust works wonders. Keep the videos coming.

My first Mora was a carbon-steel “Clipper” by Frost. The one I carry now is a SS “Kansbol”. I like the rust resistance of SS.
Have you ever tried axe or knife throwing? I went to one of those axe throwing places in Memphis and LOVED it. It was a great stress reliever.
The mora black comes on all my backpacking adventures….I don’t always pull it out, but it’s my luxury item that I never leave home on my overnights.
I've got eight mora knives my favorites are their carving knives. I've got one with a full rubber coated handle which is a little longer than the rest. I forgot what it's called, maybe the clipper but I could be wrong. I like it's handle the most but the blade is a little longer than most of them. I think it's the only model with its type of handle. If they would put their 3" laminated carving blade on this handle it would be my favorite Mora. The carving knife I use the most comes with the wooden handle without the metal ring around the front. What makes it my favorite besides the blade is the fact that you can carve the handle to make it fit your hand perfectly. I wish their bare blades didn't cost almost as much as a complete knife but I may eventually get a bare blade anyway. Most of my other carving knives I made the handles for which is pretty rewarding and just fun to do. Cool video and a nice collection of mora knives. I think my next one will be the chisel. I have a lot of really good chisels but it would just be cool having one in knife form to add to my mora collection I think.😊

Moras are awesome blades and you can’t lose no matter what one(s) you buy.
I havea mora i purchased from Paul Grimshaws trapping supply in the 1970s i think itwas 3.00
Mora is nice, for other applications than bush craft I prefer Victorinox
I like the prices and style of the Mora but I haven't decided what I want or need, I'm also looking into the Esee knives as well.
My Garberg Carbon is the best ever.
Some mora are cheaper at pathfinder, self-reliance outfitters, store . Sometimes cheaper than walmarts
SwissTech Stahlern, Peltonen m7 and m95 these are the knife I would be so gracious if you review and compare after some times of usage.
Ive 1 with a 10 inch blade , use for butchers knife actually ive 2 1 in my camping, 1 in the kitchen
I notice all those BIC lighters, you need to make the switch to Clipper lighters... you wont be disappointed. 👍

Anthony Moser: I' ve never heard of Pam spray before. What is it, an oil or some kind of acid base that creates a patina to protect the blade?
@@StevenKeery It's a mix of canola, coconut, and palm oil in a spray can for cooking
@@StevenKeery it's a oil spray you can get at most a walmarts or other stores it's not stick spray it keeps pots pans just about anything from rusting

Carbonsteel knives...Opinel from France...cheap!
They're good for food prep and general cutting because of their thin profile, but for rougher work like carving dry hardwood cross grain or chopping, you might chip that razor-like profile. Mora for the belt, Opinel for the pocket. That being said, it's the only folder that I trust as much as a fixed.
Not sure why anyone would want to start a ‘Collection’ of Moras, they’re mass produced, have No Intrinsic or investment value, no rarity or resale value, are not ‘pretty’ like many hand made customs, totally replaceable from pound / dollar stores and basically boring. But hey whatever ticks your boxes.
