@@Jordan-Ramses That's not true, and contrary to popular belief, Dragonforce also has no writing credit for RoR. They 'just' played the guitars for the album version, gave it some of their twist.
@@chuuei1729 To be precise Herman and Sam not only played it but also contributed to writing the solos for RoR. Regarding _Arkadia_ Dragonforce have really nothing to do with it.
"Starlight", "Shine", and "Arkadia" 3 songs were called "a trilogy of lights". BabyMetal fans believe that all 3 songs are a tribute to Mikio.
On December 30, 2017, Kami Band guitarist Mikio Fujioka fell from an observation deck; he died from his injuries on January 5, 2018.

I love the evolution in their power metal songs, from 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai', to 'Road of Resistance', to 'Arkadia'.
Moa's backing vocals are great, and Su's voice just soars on this song.
That footage was from more than one concert, so you got to see both Kano and Riho as supporting dancers, and both the "Kamis From the West" and the "Kamis From the East".
I was at the LA Forum concert. That was the first performance outside of Japan.
You could distinctly hear Su say, "Forum! Thank you for coming to see us! You are the best!", so there you are.
Su said it herself. : )
I feel sorry for the folks who left the venue before the encore ('Shine' and 'Arkadia').
It had been quite a while before this concert since they had done any encores.
By coincidence, I was in the audience the previous time, for 'From Dusk Till Dawn' and 'Road of Resistance' at the Hollywood Palladium back in June 2017.

I am so glad that you found the time to do this review! I think you were the first person whom Babymetal reactions I really enjoyed and was looking forward to back when you did that long run of covering essentially their first two albums ^_^
As others mentioned before, the account that posted this Arkadia video has uploaded a number of very high quality BM videos, all based on live footage, so you might definitely want to explore that, including for songs you may already have reacted to (for instance Papaya with the live audio from F. Hero really adds another layer to that song and is the superior version for me)
Also hope you managed to watch some live footage of BxMxC since you reacted to the recording - even if there are no pro-shot version of that song yet, there is enough decent fan recordings out there that translate how epic the live performance of that particular song is ;)
Arcadia is good but you have to do Shine now. I love this song. At the Forum they did Shine and then went into Arcadia. Both together was awesome. Hard to believe these 2 songs were the encore and lot of people actually left before this because they didnt think Babymetal does encores. Live Babymetal is so good. You have to see them live to truly understand.

What a beautiful BEATIFUL song, the channel where this video came from have aa lot of pro shots of mainly news songs, you should really check it out! This concert was incredible, they used the three avengers (backup dancers) and ended with Road of Resistance and Ijime Dame Zetai with the 5 girls on stage and 8 musicians, both the Japanese and the international members (first time they played IDZ since 2017 iirc)
Great to see you back. There has been quite a few of these compilation videos going up lately so there are finally videos of reasonable quality to react to. The song just before Arkadia is called Shine. Its more ballad like but it's a beautiful piece of art.
The stage show for Shine looks so freaking cool. That whole Forum concert was amazing.

I'm very into power metal so this one has become one of my top favorites in no time. I have to fully agree with you: Mr. Barone is a beast on the drums and the guitar work is excellent. Yes, I cannot forget the usual outstanding Su's vocals... it's almost unbelievable how good she is. Some songs are just perfect and this is one of them (at least to me)

For me this is my favourite from the album as well. I was gutted that they never played it at the Apollo in London when I saw them.

Wonderful reaction and analysis to a song that doesn't get much recognition. I loved it from the first time I heard it, with the power and technical brilliance, to the epic vocal arrangement....
And then I discovered what the message is, and what they are saying with this song. This is their statement song, coming out of the grief of 2018, third part of the Trilogy of Lights, where they say they are done with their grief, and are moving forward into their future. Brilliant, epic, and my favorite off of Metal Galaxy. Thank you for doing this song 🤘🦊🦊🦊🤘
Great to see you again! As you can see, BABYMETAL still rock. I love the stage, there's screens everywhere, it looks like they are floating between them. It fits the Galaxy theme of the latest album very well. I particularly like the middle part of the song, for some reason.
I would like to see you react to "Shine", but I'm not sure whether there's a decent video on TH-cam. And if so, it would probably be likely to get blocked (so is this one, though). :-)
I'm addicted to BABYMETAL reaction videos, so I'm happier the more I find, but I totally understand (and actually recommended to some reactors) not to do rush it. You don't want to drive away viewers who don't like the band.

The meaning of this song is very great. Arkadia is my fav babymetal song now.
Best song in my personal opinion but it's just on of the many great songs for these talented musicians.

@Matt React - It's actually a compilation video. It's from the Forum and a concert in Japan. They look so similar though it's hard to tell.
Babymetal reddit has a list of all the Babymetal pro shot concerts and links to them. 30? 40? Some are google drive links but others are on other sites like Dailymotion. Dailymotion has Metrock 2015 highly recomended that crowd is so awesome. Also Makuhari Messe 2015 another great one. I think Tokyo Dome as well.
The melody of the chorus gives me Abba vibes. Love this song so much, it literally feels like an odyssey traveling through space at light speed.

A real highlight from Metal Galaxy, equal first with BxMxC for impact and innovation. But this one edged it for me for the emotions involved: from what I understand, This song is for Yui, and you sense Su and Moa are giving it their all.

The three songs, including Arcadia, mentioned by tiaopiak, are typical epic BabyMetal songs. For the most part in my opinion, the rest of Metal Galaxy, is a very different animal. Very different from the first two CD's. That does not mean the songs are bad by any means but do not expect songs of the likes of Arcadia, with it's level of complexity and length.

It's the western Kami Band (american musicians). The audio was taken from the live performance at The Forum in Los Angeles (October 2019).
This was the third part of the Lights Trilogy this was for Yui-metal who left the band for health reasons part 1 was starlight Part 2 was shine starlight and shine are tributes to Mikkio who died while stargazing falling off observation deck
The Trilogy of Light has nothing to do with Yui, but yes Starlight may totally be a tribute to Mikio
