"Starlight", "Shine", and "Arkadia" were called "a trilogy of lights". BabyMetal fans believe all 3 songs are a tribute to Fujioka Mikio. Each song signifying pain, sadness and moving on..
BABYMETAL fans have several different theories about those three songs.
There is wide agreement that 'Starlight' is a tribute to Mikio Fujioka.

Although there was footage of two different supporting dancers, Kano Fujihira and Riho Sayashi, neither one has a microphone.
Neither does the third "Avenger", Momoko Okazaki.
All of the backup vocals are Moa.
She's responsible for more of the vocals on the latest album than a lot of folks realize.
The footage from the LA Forum (with Riho) featured the "Kamis From the West".
They are all American, and are the guys you saw in Atlanta.
The other shots (with Kano), had "The Kamis From the East".
All of those guys are from Japan.
The Forum show (October 11th, 2019) was the first time the song was performed outside of Japan.
In my opinion, Moa's overall backing vocals and little additions to songs were real highlights of Metal Galaxy.
Ironic it's during the "No more tears/pain/cry" is when I'm crying the most.

The song only started to make its real impact on me after I looked up the lyrics and connected the whole "trilogy of light" thing. Somehow that made it so much better and much more emotional.

I always felt this song was about Yui. They mention "your little heart" (Yui was the smallest) "twinkling" (Yui was part of Twinklestars) "no more pain" (Yui left due to unknown injury her last performance Yui seemed a little slower and in pain) "follow your dream" (Yui reportedly wants to go on her own)
It's just my theory but it is how I feel.
I think Shine reflects Mikio.

@@mikepowers9486 at the time I wrote that, I thought Yui was the smallest. But I know better now. Although, there was one video where Yui and Moa were comparing their heights in SG and Moa stood taller and celebrated.
the two guitarist and the bassist are from a star wars themed band called "Galactic Empire and the drummer is from "Shadow of Intent" all very fine American musicians.

Good one. I don't think you have seen 'Shine' yet (the second of the three 'trilogy of lights' songs that immediately precedes 'Arkadia' on the album). That one is a bit special and would be great for your next reaction.
DITTO.... There has not been a reaction to Shine yet, by anyone. And it may very well be the best thing they've ever done.

There wasn't a new girl singing haha, it was just Moa, one of the original three. Their rotating back up dancers after Yui left don't sing.
This song, well- for that matter the whole new album really works in context. it could not have been in any other order. it just works as a whole. when you listen to the entire thing together it flows and makes total sense. I think the new album was done more as a single entity whereas the older albums were kind of Helter Skelter. Arcadia is so busy though it kind of steps on itself but I think it was intended to be so. it's essentially a grand finale, like a fireworks show. My take anyway. some have said that it's a tribute to🍅 yui💀 I have to check that out. haven't really seen the lyrics yet but that's interesting because... no 🍅yui💀 no life🤣🤟

FYI BABYMETAL as of now has no permanent third member. there are 3 avengers who tour with them RIHO, MOMO, and KANA.
The third Avenger is Kano not Kana. Fun fact (or maybe it's just me lol), MOMO is the stage name for Momoe (not to be mistaken with Avenger Momoko) from the group @onefive, which is also Kano's main project

You guys should mix it up and check out Gogol Bordello- Wonderlust King or Flogging Molly - Devil’s Dance Floor. Try a little Irish rock or gypsy rock I guess you could call it.
