Hi kenny, i am building I house in Lamplamat, i just chuckled when he said leaving at Mother In-laws' house, That explains my current situation. I started building in mid november. I hope you guys are enjoying the process cause on my side it's been great until it was not. It's a very stressful process dealing with the construction teams, worse of all the language barrier. I am from South Africa 🇿🇦
Agree 100%, the biggest challenge is the language barrier. A lot is lost in translation. Thanks for watching.

All skim coat is completed, all conduit is installed, half wires pulled, and exterior deco trim is 99% complete. Ceilings coming soon, but there is a delay now. They need the bathroom walls tiled before they install the ceilings, and those tiles will not deliver until the 20th. So, no ProgressNParadise now! Thanks RJ

I built a house in in Buri Ram in 2006. Some of my issues you have already addressed such as vents and extra clean outs. We have built and outdoor kitchen which is very successful except when it rained. In our location in heavy rain during storms the rain almost seems to be coming down horizontally flooding the outdoor kitchen. We tried blinds but eventually build basically a window wall system with plenty of windows openings.
Not sure if this apples in your area, note normal roof overhang did not stop storm driven rain.
Most tiles in Thailand are non slip and are treacherous when wet.
I will keep these things in mind. I have never been here during the "Big Wet" will have to see what happens, then adjust accordingly. We have daily winds at our place, so will definitely be a possibility. Thanks

One thing is for sure no way on earth would I ever live with my Thai mothering law……
It's been a hell of an adjustment, not as much her, as the lifestyle, but it is a very good way to acclimate and adjust to the culture. She speaks no English, so she doesn't even acknowledge me. If someone asks her my name, "Farang".
She is average
No need to stand out in this crowd. No one cares!
