This is very good. I just quit my job in the US from the stressful politics, and watching this project makes me feel very relaxed and adds fuel to my desire to start a new life.
I did it backwards, I built in Thailand at 37 Im 40 now its nearly done but its a pool villa. My theory was get it done early so no hassle later in life. I’ve got assets inc house in my home land but building so young and I didn’t go cheep wasn’t easy. So now I save on holiday costs and when I come to retire I’ve got lots of options. Few highlights, all double glazed, 1600m of land 500m of living space, pool 5x15m infinity edge, build fully to European regulations.
Good job mate on video with Mark I am also from Australia 🇦🇺 we have farm land 25 minutes from Khon kaen we have the family house at the moment and own the block next door we are going to build new house in five years. good job with your footing. I think I need to be there for our house build as well. Just subscribed to watch the build. 👍
Thanks Barry, meeting with Mark again later this week for a couple cold ones. We have requests for a follow up video once he is completed so looking forward to that. Wife and I plan to go to khon kaen the first break we get from this build. It's about a 5 hr drive. Thanks for subscribing!
Every time I see the new building around I wonder why people don't have the ventilated windows , it helps cooling the place down tremendously. I noticed since I was younger, the old houses that was built always have windows near the ceiling to let the heat out. Nowaday, I think the builders probably think it's unnecessary because of air-condition. Some people use wind turbine, exhausted fan, those help too. All in all, I still think that vented windows are better of.
Also, we will be doing a follow-up on Mark's house in the next couple of weeks. So, keep an eye out for that. He has done a lot of outdoor work since that visit.
Say hello to Mark on your next meet up, I worked on the Qc Lng on Curtis Island run by Bechtel he will know of it and now they are building Pluto 2 in Karratha.
Wife had the land, believe he said B6mil after it all completed, with khoa pond and landscaping. We have a followup video planned for march-april when everything is completed. I'll ask him for that video.

Don't wait too long. As soon as you are sure you have the funds do it.

Vented soffits and ridge vents always worked well in the US. I am considering an fan system in mine.
Great video I would be curious about his Koh on but great video. I enjoyed it. Hope you both are well. Stay safe.
I am meeting with him again next week. I will arrange to do a follow up video later this year.
My family and I are in the early stages of doing same thing in Thailand
Good luck, prep your wife. It will be stress filled, but it will end!

Yes the builder company same one I told you
Yes it is. Thanks Again
Oh dear........surely Mark has enough money to hire an architect.
I would guess so, but some people don't like spending their money on intangibles.
