- Today, I'm reviewing the new Les Beiges Healthy Glow Hydration and Longwear foundation from CHANEL. This foundation was recently reformulated and went from a matte finish to long wear radiant finish. I tested the foundation over the span of three days, with a primer and without and these are my thoughts. I hope you enjoy and this information is helpful to you! xx

Great review Erin! I did a wear test on this new Chanel Les Beiges foundation for my review, I live in a different climate than yours, California, and this foundation looks more as a natural foundation with a soft radiance on me, but as the day progresses it looks more luminous. I have been in love with it! 😻 And you are right the consistency of this foundation is alike to Koh Gen Do 💕As per usual you look gorgeous my dear friend 💖😘
I really like it too! I’m hesitant to make it my go-to foundation since it’s so humid here but I’m so glad they made the change. The old les beiges was too similar to ultra Le teint! Xx
OMG!!!! The walk in busted moment had me rolling Erin!!!!! Totally love how the foundation performed! Super pretty and glowy! I loved the original Les Beiges but it did need a revamp. Excited to try this at our counter! 💋

This foundation is so gorgeous...it feels like you have nothing on your skin and looks it too. Very fresh feeling, has glow but not overly. I'm not a dry skin type, so I powdered lightly just over the t-zone to set and no problems at all. Longevity was good too, I just blotted over the t-zone during the day a couple of times. Really lovely newbie 😍

Something makes me feel like they are going to redo another foundation after this one, maybe they’ll change up the vitalumiere with 34-40 shades. They did the ultra Le Teint, the ULT Velvet, added shades to the cc cream, so I see vitalumiere coming next.
I hope so. Vitalumiere is one of my favourite foundations of all time.

I have the original but always found it too matte for my dry skin. Might get this since I have and love the Les Beiges Tinted Moisturizer. 👍

Love the part where you emphasize on not being too self conscious about shine, there are ways to combat shine and using translucent powders or mattifying powders is the way to go…. So positive thisvideo 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼♥️♥️
It did well for a light to medium coverage for the initial application. But it was so soothing to see you apply it like you were applying a moisturizer.

BUSTED! Love it! I love the look of this foundation and now i want to try it.
Looks beautiful, but I am disappointed that there’s no SPF on the new one
Actually, it's better to put on SPF as a separate product - you would have to put on a ton of any foundation, to get the SPF protection you need. I personally prefer foundations with no SPF - they do not oxidise and I have control over the amount (and sort) of SPF protection I put on my face, without my makeup looking cakey.
I have a facial spf I put on every day before foundation - even if my foundation/tinted moisturiser/cc cream has SPF 40 in it 😂
You get an extra barrier of protection so makes it safer for your skin! 😊 also, you should check out Wayne goss’ video on how much foundation you need to actually protect you with SPF, it’s crazy!
I'm so glad they omitted the spf. Most types irritate my eyes and skin. I apply spf separately.
I have this and i can not really fall in love with it.. it seems to always look dry on me and i do not have super dry skin.. i will use it up but i do not think i will ever repurchase this one. I like the new Nars and I love the new It cosmetics one.. this one is finicky to me..
This îs one of the best foundations and IT looks absolutly great in your face. So natural......so fresh

Ooops! He caught you! The look on your face was priceless, kind of like a little kid getting caught sneaking candy! 😂 While you were applying the foundation on the second day you could see it that it was going on with a little more coverage. I thought it was because of the primer, but then you said you didn't think the primer made the difference. Either way, I think it looked beautiful. I really want to try it, but I have way too many foundations and I haven't worn any since February! So I will wait. You look gorgeous, I love the way you do your eyes. Thanks for the review! Can tell it looks better with primer underneath in your tests! Trying mine today without primer. Put off a little by the smell, but at least it dissipates. I agree that oily skin people may not like this foundation. I would say it's light medium, and only builds so much. I did set my foundation with powder, but 4 hours in, I'm noticing I'm very oily on my T-zone and cheeks. Tomorrow I'll also try primer, as it seemed to lay down better in your 2nd test. We'll see, as Nars radiant glow or the Armani luminous foundations will be hard to beat. Thank you for your wear tests!

I definitely want to try this one! It looks beautiful. Normally, I’m combo to oily but since I’m pregnant my skin has changed to normal (it did this in my last pregnancy, too!) and probably won’t change back until after I finish nursing. At the very least, I think I’d love this one now! But, probably even with my combo to oily skin as well!
Is this comparable to VITALUMIÈRE
Radiant, Moisture-Rich Fluid Foundation because I loved that formula.Please tell Chanel to bring this back!! Just so you know it’s JLO’s favorite foundation!
My husband is from Morocco and he is the opposite. When I am doing my makeup he will come to me when I am up in the mirror hanging on the wall, and he will say, " put more makeup on, you need more mascara and full on lashes". Then while running down the hallway back to the living room, he will scream out, don't forget your perfume. After 14 years of marriage I finally figured out why he would burst in and tell me about putting on more makeup, then run away. He needs 10 more minutes to finish up a soccer game that he's watching on the Internet through our tv and doesn't want to walk out until it's completely over. I kid you not, for 14 years I really thought he cared about what I looked like lol. So, I died laughing when your hubby caught you filming, it is backwards in my home. I'm the one that's ready to go and my husband is the one dragging his feet, usually because soccer or football as they call it isn't finished with. Glad you kept him in your video, just shows how excited you were about the foundation. I have never tried Chanel because we don't have a counter in my area, I have only worn Lancome. Now that I am almost 40 and have rosacea I am looking for a foundation that may hide this. I will check out your other videos.

Thanks, Erin! You always seem to post a review just when I start to get curious about a product. I figured the older formula was totally changed. As a semi-dry skin lady, this might actually be better for me but I did like the feel of the old bottle, lol :)

Watched this back to back with your review on the new Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Fluid Matte Foundation. Torn between which one to purchase. If you could only have one (between the two) which one would you select? Loved both reviews. And, I think they both look lovely on you. Which of the two do you think would work better for more mature (combo. sensitive skin). Not looking to cover up anything. Only real concern is a foundation that does not age me!

It sounds very similar to the Les Beiges tinted moisturizer as far as the finish goes, but it also sounds almost like a cheaper version of Sublimage le teint:)) (minus the skincare benefits:)

I am soooo happy they reformulated it. The old formula had lots of alcohol in it, which is terrible and damaging for every type of skin, and especially the dry one. I actually do not understand how luxury brands like Chanel, Dior etc. can get away with products containing lots of damaging ingredients, often on top places in the ingredients list (meaning there's a high share of them in the product) and even selling them as "healthy" for the skin. (Yes, I know that alcohol improves staying power, but is enough to offset the long-term damage to the skin? I don't think so. There are other ways, this is just the brands cutting corners at the expense of the customers and their skin health.)

Erin, THAT brush!:-) You know it!;-) I still have my Les Beiges Teint Belle Mine Naturelle Healthy Glow Foundation, actually took it with me on my trip together with the CC Cream. I would say each one serves its purpose, and I like them both. The new Les Beiges looks really pretty on you, and I think at some point I will try it too. Thank you for your great review, as always! How would this new Chanel Les Beige foundation compare to the Giorgio Armani's Luminous Silk foundation in terms of finish?
If anyone is after a shade match, Giorgio Armani in luminous silk shade 2 would match nicely with Chanel's new Les Beige in BD11. B10 is slightly more peachy than both even though it's neutral.
Which powder would you recommend with this foundation? Thank you for such a great vid.

Hi Erin! I love this foundation it looks gorgeous! I have the original les beiges but it is too dry and I always mix it with a primer so very interested in this new version. I read somewhere it is transfer proof, have you tried that? Can you use a mask with it?

Great review, this is exactly what I needed to know. My skin is a bit on the dry side, and the original formula was perfect, except that i wear shade 30 and it was a tad bit pink. I got the BD31, fingers crossed

Is Chanel discontinuing their other foundation which is similar to this one? (It also has "les beiges" in the name).
I think you said, in a video of yours I watched yesterday, that a characteristic of the other one (which claimed to give a healthy summer glow) was that all the shades had a "pinkish hue" to them. To me, and probably others, that sounds perfect, especially because, over last few years, so very many foundations seem to have either yellow, or peachy undertones ---too warm for the complexion for some of us, so that one which is "pinky in all shades" would be a lifesaver! I do hope you will see this question and let me know (if Chanel is planning to phase out the other foundation). Thank you! ☺

I said B30 at the beginning of the video about 30 seconds in but it’s ok if you missed it. I always wear B30 in Chanel foundation.

Hey Erin! I did not like the original les beiges foundation. It was a bit chalky for me. This sounds right up my street! I have mature normal/dry skin. My favorite Chanel foundation is the Sublimage cream foundation in the jar.....xoxo 😍. Deborah

I made a decision to get one from the moment I heard, in this video, that it doesn't have SPF.
One less ingredient.
I would use SPF anyway during the day and don't need a foundation with it for the night.
I've been waiting for your review, and was not disappointed! I didn't think the application with the first brush was as good, the MJ brush definitely applied it better. They don't have this at my local Nordstrom in Ottawa, Canada yet, I checked today :( Will definitely pick it up when it comes out. I use and LOVE Dior Backstage now, but a luminous alternative will be good to have. Love that you kept the footage of getting busted!

Hello Erin! I was on the Chanel US website today and noticed that the Vitalumiere Aqua has new shades as well, I'm wondering if you've had a chance to check them out yet? I noticed they added a shade 21 Dore and 22 Beige Rose in between 20 and 30, as well as other shades. I saw it also on Macy's website. I'm on the fence between 20 and 21! Anyway, has anybody else in this channel had a chance to check them out in person?

Hi Erin! Chanel do another foundation called Vitalumière, which is also medium coverage, hydrating and super dewy. How would you say this new Les Beiges Healthy Glow compares to Vitalumière?
The new les beiges has more coverage and it's more long wearing than Vitalumiere. There are also 35 shades of les beiges instead of maybe 10 in Vitalumiere so you have a greater chance of finding a nice match :) xx
