I just bought this and think it sits on my skin better than any of the MANY foundations I have. I’m really astounded. I used a drop of Chanel mousturizer instead of a regular primer. I am normal but live in a dry climate. I have a lot of redness but the color/shade seems to neutralize it. Worth every penny. I just got it but am going to try it with all my different primers. I do find it very blurring and doesn’t look like I’m wearing makeup on my skin. So happy.
I have the foundation and I love it. It’s my first Chanel foundation purchase in ten years. I wore Chanel foundations for years and they changed their undertone range and I could get a match. I welcome the Beige Doré undertone because it finally allowed me to purchase a proper Chanel foundation. I agree with you on it being beautiful and having very good longevity. I think if one were going to buy only one luxury foundation it should be this one. As usual it looks beautiful on you. Thank you so much for the review. 💌.

hello angela, thanks for the comparison ! the old les beiges was my favourite chanel foundation since its release and i’m a little disappointed that they have completely changed it. i tried it recently and while it is really quite nice, i don’t need another natural or glowy foundation for my combination skin. i loved the creamy formula of the old one with its great coverage yet ease of application. it also felt very lightweight considering the finish. however, it’s a good thing that the new ultra le teint is similar & a better replacement of the old les beiges. definitely a little heavier, but still creamy and lovely to use. aside from my skin type, being in a hot humid tropical climate year round means powder is essential, so i will usually focus on the coverage as well as hydrating properties of foundations above the finish. i also think that vitalumière aqua has slightly more coverage than the new les beiges & the only reason i would choose to wear the latter is for the very fresh & comfortable feeling it gives. i’ve been intending to try it mixed with ultra le teint to see how it performs - this could be a good combination 😃 💗

I have used the original Vitalumiere for about 15 years but they stopped carrying my lighter colour and they all became so yellow in tone and I wanted a bit more coverage.. The original Les Beiges Healthy Glow was perfect coverage for my skin in humid summer weather for more formal days. I loved the thicker creme. It was like a Clarins I used to use. I think they might discontinue Vitalumiere so this new Les Beiges will replace it.
Now I understand why this autumn-winter it fitted perfectly on my skin and this summer I am struggling with it. I have hyperpigmentation right now, for which I am doing treatments, and I have combination skin. You gave me all the answers I was looking for. Thank you.

I have Boy and I agree that when I first apply it it's almost the same but as the day goes Boy tends to be a bit drying and is not as long lasting on my skin. This is my favourite foundation by far from Chanel. It just perfects the skin in a very natural way. I put the last of my Vitalumière Aqua on today and I noted it highlighted my pores and it sat a little heavier on my skin and this used to be my favourite formulation. I never bought the original Les Beiges because, when I tried a sample out, it gave a matte finish that wasn't flattering to my skin and I couldn't get my shade either. Great review Angela 👌😃
Hi Angela! Thanks for the explanation in the video. I will miss the old formula of Les Beiges Healthy Glow foundation that I used to apply on my normal to Combo(during summer). It was a great choice to wear and keep my t zone under control. That thing to keep the same name of two different products is hard to believe this is happened. 🤷🏼♀️why?! 💋💋

There is actually another new foundation coming out by Chanel with sublimage in the formula and it sounds like a better option. I do think some stores do have the old formula left though so thank you 😊

Hello Laurie :) The shades Light and Medium Light of the water Fresh Tint are very different. Medium Light is a lot darker than Light. The water fresh tint has a very light coverage and even if you don't choose your perfect shade it still works. The new Les Beiges is a foundation so choosing the right shade here is important. If shade "Light" of the water Fresh Tint works best for you now - then choose Les Beiges BR12. If your skin is currently darker and if you prefer "Medium Light" shade in the Water Fresh tint then go for BR22. Have a great weekend! xoxo

I have never tried Chanel foundations. Would you recommend if I’m around BD1, BD11 or BD21? It doesn’t have to be perfect because I will get 2 and choose one though.
Why did they keep the same name & make it a completely not just a slightly different formula but a total opposite formula,is alittle confusing,but I'm really happy with it, bc the other formula would never have worked on my dry skin,but the new formula is like if I wouldv went2 Chanel & told them the perfect prescription 4 my skin& everything my skin needed & I wanted & they actually made it 4 me,so 2 me it's amazing,but I can imagine if u liked the other formula u would not b happy bc it is so different or opposite,but the nice thing about the new formula is, it is good 4 most people,but essential in my opinion if u have dry skin.❤love it!I also think it is 1 of the least expensive Chanel foundations if not the least expensive,, another plus! Very satisfied with this foundation
It is so depressing and misleading that they changed it so much. The old version was perfect for my skin as it covered broken blood vessels I have on my nose that embarrass me and gave me a porcelain doll finish. Can you recommend the best replacement?
I haven’t wear any makeup since March 😔 We must wear mask whenever we step out of our home. I rarely watch any makeup videos nowadays. I opened & smelled all my shadows, blushers from time to time. My lipsticks go inside my fridge, not sure when I will ever wear it again. My skin just can’t breath if I wear any makeup while putting a mask on. We had 3 Sephora sales so far post-covid and I didn’t buy even a thing. Hope this will passed soon 🙏 Can’t believe 2020 just gone, it’s already October 😔
