That’s pretty awesome video I thought they made 2 R390s one was in the museum in japan while the other is in Dubai. I could be wrong it has been 15 years since i read the wiki
Usually when there are 2 cars its easy to decide which one you would take if given offered but this is a hard question. The Jaguar looks better but the Nissan is a Unicorn and spectacular as much as the Jag is.
It's inaccurate to say the F40 was "entirely" made from carbon fibre. It was a hybrid of CFRC and Kevlar on top of a tubular steel chassis. I think the XJR 15 was in fact the first production car to use a CFRC monocoque, followed by the F1.
I have no clue! But I heard from somewhere that every modern McLaren with a V8 is derived from the Nissan R390, but McLaren doesn't want anyone to know that. They could be wrong though cuz to me I find it hard to believe.
Sweet videos. Too bad you couldn't source more videos of the 1997 R390. Nissan took over the project in '98 and extendended the rearend of the car for improved areodynamics I suppose. TWR's original version of the R390 road and race cars were bobtailed... and more beautiful IMO. Gran Turismo 3(?) featured both the '97 and '98 road and race car versions.
Well they do look like siblings for sure
The Ferrari F40 wasn't an all carbon fiber car. The body was made of kevlar.
Do the LISTER STORM next or saleen S7R😊
That was a really good video with a lot of information and good video example's!

Nissan technically made two R390s, one is a testing prototype and the other one is a full-on production car.
It was a misconception that both a red and blue road car were made, but it had its rear end changed and was repainted blue
Theyre TWR cousins.
I think even the TWR WSC 95 was something else at one point.
Both Underrated Cars Fr
love your videos, keep them up!

The tear ligts is from a alfa Romeo
Doesn’t Mclaren use tuned Nissan engines as well ?
