I love closet organization too..I turned all my hangers backwards and plan to rid the items I haven’t worn in a year. I have wood closet rods and they tend to get scratched with the metal. I switched to all plastic and with a family of 4, I’d rather not switch out, but love the quality of the wooden hangers 😍. Too, I’ve had small closet space and now have big, still have challenges. Love your all year capsule!!
I'm looking forward to seeing how the rattan wall cover turns out. My husband is fitting out my small closet this weekend, so this video came at a good time for me. I will definitely be using your organizing tips!
Your elegantly curated wardrobe is far more beautiful to look at, compared to either the wardrobe doors or the contact paper - I recommend ditching the doors (or storing them if you are renting) altogether and leaving it open. 😊
I use those wooden hangers for my jeans but I use the kind with a velvety finish for hanging my other clothes. I’ve decluttered a lot of clothes already this year. I log what I wear each day so I can easily see what I haven’t worn in the last year and they’re gradually being passed on. I roll my cotton tops up and put them in my drawer.
I love wood hanger 🙌🏻 And putting dry lavender in little fabrics pouch to smell fresh in my wardrobe and make it even fancier 🥰 I do need a good clothes declutter since I’m really owning my style and what I love 🤍 One of my tips will be to have all my clothes out in my living room to push me to deal with it. Because it’s my living space I have no choice to do it .
Such a good video! Living in a small space i completely agree that many times you just need to declutter bc you really dont have a place for everything. We have stored some items at parents's homes but have tried to limit that to an attic corner or one closet. Ive enjoyed though downsizing or the process so far of letting go of clutter.
I actually have my wardrobe set up in en pretty similar way, though I do have drawers (that I divide using baskets 😂). I never hang any knitted items though.
Not sure where I've heard it but once you've worn something hang it on the right side of your rail, all the stuff you haven't worn will still be on the left side of the rail, pretty soon you will have sorted out what you wear or don't wear without actually realizing it
The other option is the flip it and hang the coat hanger the other way around. It works if you only have a tiny wardrobe. Would love to know any suggestions for items you cannot hang? Like knitwear?
Hi Hessica! How do you deal with socks? I have mine in a fabric lined basket in a drawer folded but it's not visually appealing.. I only wear white shortie socks if that helps 😊 I can't wait to see the rattan paper up. I think it's going to be lovely❤
Fold them in half or thirds depending on the size and stack vertically in a basket or drawer or divider. You can see how I do them in the underwear basket frame ❤️
Omg thank you so much for this video - LOVE it and so helpful. Cannot wait to get into my wardrobe and have a declutter and a play! One question - best T-shirt brands? Need a couple of staples but there are many that are flimsy and get out of shape so quickly that I find they don’t last. Any suggestions?
you're so welcome love! I'm excited for you. Mmmmmm staples wise...what do you mean? Favourite go to brands for me are Sézane, reformation, equipment, maje & Sandro. I hear good things about Uniqlo but never tried. Cos can be nice too!
The same way, in baskets or storage containers according to category. All the same rules apply - give things room to breathe and store vertically to maximise space. My handbag is in the basket with my pink scarf stored upright
Loved this!! I decluttered my clothes and don’t have that many now, but the issue I now have is that my drawers are quite big and wide so the clothes just look a bit lost and messy in them. I wonder if I should hang it all up but then I feel weird hanging up t-shirts! It’s a minor issue but it does bother me as it all looks a bit messy and random. Any tips? So sort of the opposite issue of having too many clothes!
I would say drawer dividers would be good in this situation. You could buy specific ones or use shoe / storage boxes or baskets in the drawers. That would look really nice but also keep everything compact
Lovely video. I love having my knitwear in storage boxes. All folded up. There is definitely some clearing out of some clothes I don’t wear to be done soon!! Slightly random, where is your bedding from? It looks so lovely!
I loved this video and your tips for organizing - I'm in the middle of a very slow and messy wardrobe declutter process, so it's been super helpful! If I may ask, where do you usually find wicker baskets for organization, such as the ones that appear in the video? I've been on the lookout for some for ages but haven't had any luck so far :(
I try to go through my things every 6 months, and I still have too many clothing items. I wear my favorite things to threads, and am sad when they need to be recycled; when possible I repurpose. I do have a problem in dealing with managing my work clothes. When I say "work clothes" I mean clothes that I wear in the studio to work in Stone, wood, clay, metal, paint and charcoal.they get really really , erm...worn...on my person and over time. I love pretty things too but dont get to wear them often enough so they hang, and call longingly to me...Jeeennnyyyy P ,please wear me.....I end up with too much of both. and discover the oil paint blobs on my clothes at the exhibition opening!oops! -"I shouldnt have worn THAT into the studio! " I grumble.....I dont know why my name isnt showing there but sorry about that.
Hi Jessica, we have the same Sezane crossover jumper. I love it but quite low, shows a lot of cleavage 🍒 what do you wear under it? Would be great to see an undergarment video 🙏 xxx

love love love all of this so much ❤️ we love making our wardrobes aesthetic 😂🙌
@@JessicaRoseWilliams Haha, we certainly do, I get a lot of joy from my wardrobe if it looks nice 😊
Thankyou Jessica for the vlog, do you organise from biggest to smallest within each category in your hanging space?

I have some wooden hangers but they are so heavy. I prefer the velvet hangers for most clothes and wooden for coats/jackets.
Velvet are a nice alternative depending on your aesthetic taste ❤️❤️
