Beautiful! So inviting without any fussiness. I have to admit I struggle with the idea of no curtains. Here in the UK, electricity is so expensive that we are encouraged to keep the curtains closed while it is dark to avoid heat escaping. In mid-winter, it can be dark until 9 a.m. followed by a grey day with rain until dusk at 3 p.m.! At this time of year though, I open the curtains and windows around 6 a.m. and enjoy the precious daylight. Well done to your husband. He is so talented.
Oh wow, that’s very interesting! I know that the windows we chose are specialized to limit heat transfer- something really important in our northern climate, so I don’t really think much about losing energy, but that is a good point to consider! Thanks for watching! ❤️

I was wrong - it wasn't Amazon after all! It's been over a year, so my memory was a bit fuzzy. We wanted to find a bedframe that allowed us to have our boxspring and mattress on top. Many of those metal beds have slats that can be used as the boxspring. My bed frame is the same it’s a double bed though, my bedside is a side table just a flat surface no storage no lights I go to bed to sleep nothing else

Thankful for newer, more energy efficient windows so we don’t worry about drafts! But I will say that my plan is to have the bed by the window in the spring and summer and then back on the board and batten wall in the fall and winter. ❤️
PSNeed to keep the windows open for fresh air and to be able to breathe in the stifling Philly summers! Complying with Vastu, architecture, etc., can be a real bear!

I have ripped up my carpet and found beautiful stained floor boards and left it at that as I don’t really like carpet or mats and I have built in cupboards so no need for other furniture and on one wall I have a kimono and a mask from Venice on another

Yes! That’s another reason for the metal bed frame. I can still open the window! And also the little square one too. Love fresh air! ❤️
I could not have just one set of sheets for my bed I need to wash and allow to dry so a second set is important
