Learn Jazz Standards Series - Autumn Leaves (Joseph Kosma)
In this video, we look how to play Autumn Leaves, written by Joseph Kosma. We look at the structure, analyse the harmony and dissect the melody - as well as covering other topics such as relative major/relative minors and the cycle of 4ths. Autumn Leaves is one of the most popular jam session tunes, and is great introduction to, and way to practice, major and minor 251s. Happy Practicing!

This is a really informative video; I understand how the circle of fifths / fourths are connected, but this video explains how you can "fill in" those spots that feel empty.
I do also like how it was split between the melody and the chords, to understand how they interact with one another. Subscribed!
Thanks very much Submeg - do let me know if there’s any standards you’d like us to cover in future videos!
