    Hi again Guy. These might be very good aids. I don't know as I haven't tried them but I did some fairly thorough research when they were first announced and it appears they are very likely a re badge of another Sonova/Unitron model based on a now 5 year old platform.

      Hey @peter7239! I don't know about you, but I'll gladly take a new Mercedes from 5y ago over many, many new cars! Wouldn't you? 😁 But, joking aside, I tested every aspect of these aids from quality, connectivity to Android and iOS, Bluetooth connectivity to many different devices, and sound and amplification quality in different situations and environments. These hearing aids' performance is unquestionable! I'm not someone that's impressed easily and these aids, which you can now buy for around $950 (in the USA), impressed me. 👍 Give me an alternative with all these features and similar pricing and I'll be happy to review it as soon as I can.

      Agreed about the Merc!.... but what irks me is that Sonova went to the trouble of acquiring a company with a solid reputation in the audio industry and then used that reputation to market a product developed long before they had acquired any interest in sennheiser! Not unusual of course. Signia/Sony have done the same.

      Peter, it seems that YT held some comments for review, for whatever reason that I don't understand, so I apologize if I missed any of your messages. Please let me know if this is the case, or if there's anything else I can help with.

    Im getting my first hearing aids from a local audiologist (phonaks) , i thought id try them to see if they help.
    Do you have any idea if they will help tinnitus and sound sensitivity both? Or is it a waste of time trying them?

    • @HearingCare-Channel
      @HearingCare-Channel  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi @erikcaldwell2913,
      If your tinnitus is caused by hearing loss, which is the case for most people who suffer from tinnitus, then the answer is yes! Using hearing aids for as many hours per day as possible should definitely alleviate your tinnitus and sound sensitivity symptoms.
      If this is your first time using hearing aids, you will probably need to adjust gradually. Everything may sound weird and too bright during the first few hours to a couple of days. 😁 Give your brain a chance to adapt to the hearing aids gradually. Your audiologist will likely explain this process to you as well.
      After a few days or weeks, you should notice that the more you use your hearing aids each day, the less bothersome your tinnitus should become. With consistent use, the alleviation effect will increase over time. To achieve the full effect, you need to continue using your hearing aids consistently. Keep in mind that different people experience improvement over different periods. You might notice improvement within days, but it could also take weeks. In any case, the effect should become stronger as the months pass, up to a certain point.
      Once you are completely accustomed to your new aids, I strongly recommend incorporating sound therapy into your daily routine. This should deliver another significant level of improvement for both tinnitus and sound sensitivity.
      Good luck!
      Guy.

    Would you recommend this those with severe to profound hearing loss?

    • @HearingCare-Channel
      @HearingCare-Channel  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi @Jack-mu4iv, my initial response would be: no. But let me elaborate; I myself have severe hearing loss and tinnitus. These aids are the only OTC aids that I was able to function with when I was testing them for a few days. The sound quality and connectivity to everything Bluetooth is nothing less than great. But if your hearing profile is almost at profound hearing loss, then I don't think these will work for you across different situations and environments.
      If you're dealing with financial limitations, then look at the Jabra Enhance Pro 20: th-cam.com/video/NMak8y-aGg0/w-d-xo.html
      These are relatively inexpensive premium hearing aids that boost great performance and features.
      Please let me know if you have any other questions. I hope this is helpful. 🙏

      @@HearingCare-Channel You mean it works for severe hearing loss ? Is there a need to reprogram the unit if ever the user with severe hearing loss or we can use this directly no need to go audiologist ?

    • @HearingCare-Channel
      @HearingCare-Channel  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Jack-mu4iv As I wrote in my first response, my initial response would be: no. Especially if your hearing loss is close to profound hearing loss.
      My recommendation to you would be to look at the Jabra Enhance Pro 20: th-cam.com/video/NMak8y-aGg0/w-d-xo.html
      These aids have no problems supporting severe or profound hearing loss, and they can be tuned specifically to your hearing profile (which is very important for individuals with this level of hearing loss).
      The only thing I was also mentioning is if your budget is capped at around $1000, then it's better that you try the Sennheiser hearing aids (as opposed to not using hearing aids at all) and see if they help you. There's a long-enough trial period where you can return these aids for a full refund if they don't work for you. And, no, the Sennheiser hearing aids are not tunable. The app will allow you to change settings, but how much they amplify each frequency is locked and not tunable per se.

      I'm just curious , presently I'm using phonak HA for my severe hearing loss and I noticed when I'm calling with my aid Bluetooth I can only hear the incoming voice and mine I can't in my hearing aid ,is it normal when using Bluetooth phone calls or is there any problem with the setting need to adjust ? Thanks for your help and very much appreciated .

      @@Jack-mu4iv This seems to be some setting/connection issue you need to fix, and the good news is it should be simple. Phonak is the king of Bluetooth. Depending on the model, they should be able to properly connect to anything with recent Bluetooth protocols!
      What's the brand and model of your cell, and specific model of your aids? Do you have the Phonak app on your cell?
