      Have a serious question.. I'm looking for a bike to ride paved bike trails and go up extreme steep hills. I have been thinking of purchasing the Ariel rider kepler or this the ride1 revv. In your option what's the best to use fir that purpose and riding around the city?

      Hey, I've been watching your videos. They're really fun to watch, and I love how you show how well the e-bikes ride. You also do a great job of explaining which ones are good and which ones aren't. This one in particular is my favorite, and it's my dream bike. I'm hoping to get one soon.

    Big thanks for sharing the nighttime commute. Had my Revv for a few days and will be riding to work eventually, and I work nights. Rode it for the first time today in off road mode and hit 37mph against the wind. I put about 24 miles on it before the first charge and still had 2 battery bars. Definitely agree that the trip odometer is inaccurate. Great video 👍🏽 PS good call on getting the cage cuz now they’re out of stock til May. Love mine and it makes the bike look so sick.

    • @coyotefishtx7336
      @coyotefishtx7336 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@Mryodamiles Not really. Even with only two battery bars left, I was able to maintain 30-34 mph. If I felt like the bike did slow down, a few quick pedals brought it right back up to speed and then the twist throttle was able to maintain. I did take a couple of ride along videos and could post them if that would be helpful to anyone. Wasn’t going to initially due to some wind noise in some parts.

    Hey just watched your video, good stuff. I ordered one last week after watching Shreddies review, and got it today, my first ebike. Had an issue with chain being too tight, caused the freewheel to unthread and jam. Also my rear wheel is not true, so they are sending me an all new rear wheel setup with a new longer chain. Great customer service! Customer service said they had a batch of chains that were 4 links too short, something people need to look out for. Started taking the controller bay apart to disconnect motor, thought you might want to know they are using a Julet 11pin L1121 connector, so may need to build an adapter cable to use the phaserunner if you don't want to splice wires.

I've only been out a handful of times (including a 30-mile commute) and taking into consideration I don't really know what I'm talking about... but a tighter chain for me or anything with pedaling just isn't a factor. I only pedal on lift off at times at an intersection to let cars know I'm on a bicycle, other than that straight throttle and thrills!

    I'm assuming this has been unlocked/modded to get these speeds?
    I have a steep hill up from town, 400' in 1/3 mile. This bike will be OK getting up this?
    And does the bike have regenerative braking that slows the bike when not on the accelerator? For going down this hill, it'd be nice not to use the brakes.
    Also, can a second rider fit on this bike, and are there foot peg mounting locations?
    And lastly, I have 5 steps into my office that I'd have to lift his bike up to get it inside. How difficult will this be?

    • @MrCentralDriver
      @MrCentralDriver  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No regen braking and it did fine with overpasses in my area but no hills in the city. Bike is heavy and awkward to carry even if the battery is removed but could be done. Pegs can be added. Second rider can fit if it’s two smaller people. Gonna be cramped

      KandBDoormasters I agree with you. How promptly and professionally they handle these first run issues will determine if I get one of these.
      I think this is one of the most awesome moped style bikes out there right now, but the range not being accurate, peoples chains breaking , sporadic throttle response, storage cage not fitting cleanly, and the high speed is inconsistent. Did I miss anything?
      IMO should be easy fixes for an established company like Ride1Up so let’s see how they handle this and how fast. 🤔

    Milk stays much colder if you put it in a grocery bag or two. I at least double bag all my cold items. I make a point to tell the cashier I am on a bike and need extra bags. Usually I tie a bag on each side of my handlebars so those need about 3 layers of grocery bags to not bust during the ride home. Nice looking bike. The inconsistent top speed seems odd and would bother me. I still prefer my diy converted e bike to most under $2000 bikes reviewed on this channel. To buy a new e bike only to have to spend a lot of money to make it into what it should have came like from the factory I can't afford.

Im also looking at Lyric Graffiti (not the X) but its a hardtail, the Volcon Brat but some revieweres are saying its too weak, Ariel 52V Xclass but i dont really dig the look. I thought about that as well, because it would be nice of a company made an enclosure that also bolted or strapped to the top of the frame as well to be more stable, but I could see a battery working in the center enclosure, along with a controller and then a secondary battery can sit on top in the stock location

    I just finished watching this video and I must say that I'm amazed that TH-cam would threaten to demonitize you for using the "S" word, but riding what could only be classified (certainly in my state) as an unregistered motorcycle on public roads - as well as on pedestrian sidewalks and crosswalks - is somehow OK with them. (Again I'm not against these bikes - I think they are pretty cool - I just want them to be made legal, ether through an easy registration process , or by complying with existing 3 class ebike laws. Also, as a motorcylist it kind of rubs me the wrong way that people feel they are entitied to ride 30+ MPH without having earned the privilage by getting a license).
