    Actually have a dual battery like yours. Two 10.4 amp batteries (one behind the seat post & one in the downtube) for a kilowatt combined. First thing is it seems to keep the voltage higher than just one battery at a time (swapping them), and second is the loss of range anxiety for everyday trips. But, ya just know that’s not going to last because after a (short) while your gonna start pushing the limits again. While listening to this video I logged the second ride on the current charge. Trying to see if I’ve got enough to pin down a 22 mile one way (44 round trip) with enough left to run around the destination.
    After that, it’s a 50 mile one way same scene. That one will likely need charging mid point, which means I need to figure out how much time & charge I’ll need to finish the round trip, as in if where I have lunch mid point has a spot to mooch-charge the batteries discreetly.
    Oh, since it’s a Lectric Premium, the dual battery setup came stock.
    Which brings me to a catch with this setup. Make sure you turn on your batteries before you ride. They turn themselves off after a time without use. You don’t usually have a problem if you have a single battery as it’s pretty obvious if you have the battery mounted and you have no power. But with the second battery it’s not so obvious. One battery may be off and you won’t know it for a while. I now check with my meter directly on the batteries to see if power is available before mounting them.

    Love the idea very curious if it would be possible to bolt the battery tray inside the basket and just run the wire up into the basket if it’s a big enough room to squeeze the wire into the basket
    Not sure if that would also solve the issue on having to bend the basket to work though

    Thanks for the second battery links, most videos out there are afraid to share a 3rd party battery, for whatever reason. It voids the warranty, but you are not forcing anyone to be stupid.
    Makes no sense to me although why Ride1Up sells the battery balancer connector but not a battery that you can use together with the main one. No slimmer, smaller battery that would fit inside the cage or anywhere. They sell only a overpriced replacement, a spare battery, that is the same as the main one, and no rail!

    IMO, on the powerful dual-motor or throttle-only bikes (REVV 1 included), must have a second battery. Without it the bikes range is severely limited, depending on the rider's weight and use maybe 20 to 30 miles at most.
    But a range test should not be until the battery dies, because that's not how people ride. The more accurate measure would be "usable range" or something like that. I was thinking that perhaps the test end mark would be to where the battery meter indicates one or two bars.

    All the dual battery bikes are using a blender/mixer. Ariel Rider, Juiced. Il'll stop here cuz that's the end of my PURCHASED knowledge. So I get a hold of the blender from Branford Connecticut and blend up a 48 V 13.5 AH with a 52 V 20 AH on a 750 W Rattan and I cannot believe the Range.
    A bit more top end speed, a bit more torque and double if not 3x the range. I never found out the true range cuz it worked. Super fun mod and when you have 7 ebikes you are able to take batteries from different bikes and play around. My blender mixer was 150.00 probably paid too much!
    36V-48V-52V-60V- to 72 V can be blended no matter the AH and state of charge, beware and careful of the AMZ specials for 50bux. Garage fire is a house fire with zero recourse.
    Area13Bolton types must have the same Volt batts, AH is not important but state of charge must be equal!!!????!!! I'll stick with my overpriced bit of confidence, who will not sell me a bike w/o batteries. There device said GO and build, I tried. just not their batteryless bike,
    Also of importance never to be used, NEVER with a bike that has or HAD regenerative props,

    • @EBikeBuilder_
      @EBikeBuilder_ ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think these battery blenders don’t actually hook them in parallel due to the dangers involved. They just switch over to the battery with the highest voltage. If that’s the case then you may be able to use the battery blender with different voltages. If you are TRULY connecting the batteries in parallel , they must be similar voltage or you are gonna cause a fire / trip the bms / blow a fuse

    • @MrCentralDriver

      No the stock controller is 28amp. If you get a battery blender under the controllers amp. It will pop and stop working. You need 30 or 40 amp. I suggest 40 amp as it’s only 4 more bucks over the 30a

      Opening a door in a vehicle while being on in traffic is illegal. Could happen but would be there fault. Now if they are parked on the side of the road getting out they are also suppose to look to make sure it’s safe to exit the vehicle due to bikes or traffic but it can happen

      @@MrCentralDriver - I see men and disgusting woman opening their door and spitting quite often. After riding scooters/motorcycles for 30 years no way I'd fly through backed up traffic like that. All it would take is someone abruptly deciding to change lanes or pull over on the shoulder and it would be a bad day.

    • @MrCentralDriver
      @MrCentralDriver  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Get the biggest amp size u can get. It just needs to be over the amps of the controller so it doesn’t fry. If your controller is 40amp and your blender is 30amp. You can see where you’ll have a problem. Spend the extra 3-5bucks and get the 40amp one. The zooz is I think 25-28amp stock. So the 30amp will work but better insurance to get the higher one

      For 5000w you want a good torque arm. and i wouldn’t even try to put a high power multiple kW front motor on a cheap bicycle fork. I busted two forks with a 750w bafang g60 on a 22amp controller - Only 1000w and it was breaking dropouts off forks like nothing

      Yeah on the rear rack but probably not a 24ah battery. A 20ah will work. You’ll also need an extension cable for the extra battery because it will be to far from the controller. Also have to drill a hole where the wires will exit to run the cable to the second battery.
