@ChrisJ092 The CPU team is boston. In Verses mode you can choose between 4 teams instead of 3 . The 4th team being Boston. I guess AQUALUNG forgot to mention that.
Yeah! Double dribble was fun. Followed up by its 16-bit kinda heir, Pat Riely's Basketball. Which had COLOR zoom in for the slam dunk with a precursor to the quick time event of today. Sort of? It was fun a well.
yep, it's the basketball version of blades of steel (another awesome Konami game)..and i think i heard some sound effects from the original Metal Gear in there, 2:19 sounds like the radio in metal gear (nes) ...
I use to kill my dad playing this! lol on the left side of the court, upper left corner, you can hit three all the time if you let it go before going out of bounds. It was fun, but I got super excited when Lakers vs. Celtics and the NBA Playoffs came out for the Genesis.
I remember playing this with a friend of mine ages ago. We usually played the Kunio-kun basketball, but didn't have the diskette that time (don't know why) but we had this one. I don't know why, but playing this game together we had tears from laughter. Not because the game is bad, but because it was simple and just fun.
You sure this is a fair game? I played this at level 1 difficulty and the computer players almost always make their shots and I can almost never make mine. Also, I have so much trouble switching to the right teammates at the right time. Another problem I have is how the computer player is able to pass the ball to one of their teammates about halfway across the court while the human player seems completely incapable of doing that.
This was one of my favorite NES games back in the day.
I used to have that game, and it was a pretty good basketball game for the times.

the arcade version you couldnt actually move. the joystick just made you move who you were gonna pass too.
