    I had a hiatal hernia many years ago the caused the feeling like a pill was always stuck in my throat. A chiropractor completed this maneuver on me and it was so helpful. I then learned how to complete the maneuver on myself. I had to keep doing it several times a day for several months but I eventually was able to restretch my esophagus to its normal length again, keeping my stomach where it belonged. No more hernia!

    I have been having (what I feel are) severe GI issues since the beginning of December, so 3 months ago. I have been seeing my doctor every week or two, who keeps blowing me off saying it’s anxiety. I haven’t been suffering from any anxiety for a long while. He hasn’t checked ANYTHING except an abdominal ultrasound that I had to ask for. I do have a history of depression and anxiety and I truly feel he was just going off that. He doesn’t listen at all when I try to explain my symptoms. Anyway, I just wanted the timeline to show and that I HAVE been trying to get medical treatment. Even a diagnosis would be nice!! So I have been having to self-diagnose because I need relief!! He did put me on PPI’s (Pantoprizole) the first time I saw him. And I really don’t want to take them after reading up on it.
    My primary complaint was/is extreme early satiety. I can’t get down more than 2-3 bites without serious effort. I was regurgitating a lot but I don’t do that very much anymore. I don’t know if that’s a good thing, or if something has gotten worse and things got blocked?
    ANYWAY - sorry for rambling. I am seeing a new dr in a couple weeks I give up on mine. I live in a remote small town so there’s not many dr’s to go around. The new one I’m seeing is an hour away.
    From what I can find, I believe I have a pretty good hiatal hernia. I guess my very long winded question is - can this maneuver do harm if I do NOT have a hiatal hernia? I’m so desperate for relief I’m willing to try about anything but I don’t want to make things worse.

    I had a food blockage because of this last week. I had to phone for an ambulance it was so bad. It was a horrible experience. First time I’ve ever been in a ambulance and off to hospital.
    After a period of time at hospital the doctor gave me a can of Coke and told me to take smalḻ sips of it. The fizziness loosened the blockage.

    • @Synergywellnessny
      @Synergywellnessny  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Where was the food blockage specifically? Hiatal hernia can cause esophageal swelling and trap food causing dysphagia.

      @@Synergywellnessny I get food blockage where the stomach extends up through the diaphragm. At least I’m presuming that’s what is happening. I’m very careful of what I eat and how I eat, processing many foods for example. But on this occasion a can of ravioli was not chopped up enough even though I thought it was and would go through fine.
      I’m a pretty tough guy but this episode was very distressing, it takes a lot for me to call for an ambulance but I very much needed help.
      Back to normal now but I will do everything possible to avoid that again, I will more carefully process food and divide each meal into a few sittings spread over an hour. Also got a dozen cans of Coke just in case.
      Was diagnosed with a minor hiatal hernia about 4 years ago but obviously it has got worse. Might need to go back to a specialist to see if there’s a solution but I think it is what it is. Getting older sucks 😂

    For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; 15 and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
    16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
    20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:14-21
