    Over three decades ago, a medical doctor misdiagnosed me as having ulcers. I took me a couple of years for me to realize I had GERD, not ulcers. It took more time to figure out how I caused it, and then come up with a cure. There is a sphincter muscle between the esophagus and stomach. There is another sphincter muscle where the esophagus passes through the diaphragm. When the two sphincters line up, gastric acids cannot backflow into the esophagus. If the two sphincters don’t line up, it usually means part of your stomach has been pulled or pushed up past the diaphragm into the chest cavity. With just the one sphincter, stomach acids push up into the esophageal area to cause heart burn, esophageal cancer, and even chemically erode your teeth.
    My solution was to drink 2-3 glasses of cold water first thing in the morning, and then jumping up and down for several minutes to shake or jolt the now heavy stomach back down to its proper position. Cold water prevents rapid stomach emptying. Doing the procedure in the morning means you have the rest of the day for gravity to help you adapt the stomach to its now lower position. You may have to repeat the procedure a few times on successive mornings. It may take a while for the esophagus to stretch a bit and the stomach to get used to its new correct position,
    Suppression of stomach hydrochloric acid is not a good solution. You need the acid and other chemicals to break down proteins into amino acids so they can be reused to build muscles, and collage which is literally used everywhere in the body (eyes, hair, blood vessels, bone, teeth, etc).

    I was misdiagnosed with a Hiatal hernia on October 2021.
    On 2022, I took a barium x ray test,
    Esophageal manometry test and a new endoscopy at a different location.
    These three tests justified that I DO NOT have a Hiatal hernia.
    I feel like I got a new lease in life.

    • @ezdoesit6286

      Same here, my gastro said I had a hiatal hernia after an endoscopy. After a couple years he finally said surgery is the only option if I dont wanna PPI. I had all of the tests you did by a thoracic surgeon who did an endoscopy himself and said I do not have a HH.

    • @XavierP333
      @XavierP333 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@ezdoesit6286
      I would trust the thoracic surgeon. Some gastro Drs. Make mistakes.
      You're very lucky to not have a Hiatal hernia. You should feel happy about it. If you have your test results, look at them whenever you're in doubt.
      Once you know your stomach and esophagus region is normal, allow your mind to move on from doubts.
      I was convinced I don't have a hiatal hernia during my barium X-Ray test.
      The technicians asked me to take deep breaths during the test, my stomach remain intact underneath my diaphragm. No obstruction, etc.
      The manometry test is more accurate than an endoscopy at most times since they can detect precisely the landmarks, measurements and abnormalities within the esophagus and LES region.
      If you have GERD, most likely is due to low stomach acid, PH imbalance, stress or anxiety. Stress and anxiety decrease stomach acid, when stomach acid decreases, the LES sphincter muscle doesn't close properly.
      Stress loosens the contraction of the LES muscle in your gastro-esophageal junction, resulting reflux/GERD.
      My primary Dr. Assumed I "had" a hiatal hernia by doing a physical exam, I told this to my first gastro Dr., Yet he failed to determine what the cause of my reflux truly was.
      After learning I don't have a hiatal hernia, I feel way less stressed out, less anxious. I have less GERD symptoms.
      I believe my problem was high levels of cortisol and stress causing my gastric problems.

      Ok , but how do you feel????? thats the most important part how do you feel without medication??? a diagnossi of hiatal hernia isnt a big deal, also the hernia slides up and down. meaning you may have had a hernia last week, but this week it slid back down. The stomach moves up and down and does not stay in place. its attached to the Anterior longitudinal ligament and therefore the spine.

    I had a CT scan on my back. The doctor told me he could see a hiatal hernia from the back pictures. He said it has to be pretty large to be seen from that direction. He's immediately referred me to a gastroenterologist. I'm concerned because I have learned the surgery doesn't work well. I also cannot be put to sleep because I react to anesthesia and can't be woke up very well. I'm on Medicare and a supplemental insurance and they don't pay much on chiropractic. Wow!

    • @XavierP333
      @XavierP333 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually, there's different surgical options,
      The gold standard is called:
      "Nissen fonduplication "
      This consists on wrapping the fundus around the lower esophagus to create a tightened lower esophagus, thus prevents reflux.
      This surgery is for Grade I hiatal hernias, type II, type III and Type IV.
      This method has about 98% success rate. Some patients go for 10 to 20 years without a surgical intervention or re-herniating.
      There's TIF procedure, these are more suitable for grade I hiatal hernias. The lower part of the esophagus is pushed down inside the entrance of the stomach, then, fasteners will be "stapled" in a 360 fashion around the lower esophagus, this creates a new lower Esophageal valve. This method rely on scar tissue build up to keep the valve strong. This method has about 70% success rate.
      There is the newer method called:
      " Linx" magnetic Implant.
      It's basically a magnetic ring that is placed around the lower Esophageal valve. On the LES. After the diaphragm is sutured, the stomach is pulled down, replaced, then the linx ring is implanted. This rings serves to keep the esophagus valve closed when foods or liquids are not ingested.
      The downside of this method is that the Linx implant is that the Linx magnet loses function, plus. You can't get an MRI anymore. Because it is a magnet, it can explode around your esophagus

    I have that problem, too. Lots of acid reflux laying down or bending down, have to drink lots of water with dry foods or it gets stuck down there, hard to get deep breaths, lost a lot of weight. Not that I minded getting skinnier, but it was a big difference unexplained. I have to breath just so, watch my posture and all, and if I'm moving around, then I can't get a deep breath until I stand still. I did some of the exercises that you've shown on this channel, the abdominal breathing, and where you press in under your breast bone and hold it, then press in and move down over your stomach. I was laying in bed and just used my finger for that. Even though it's not the full routine he gives in these videos, it definitely helped right away. I figure if I were to do this a couple of times a day regularly, who knows, it might fix the problem.

      @@djanderson6531 Well, the posture and breathing practice is slowly helping. I keep forgetting to do the pushing on your stomach thing, but when I do it feels better. I had been in a car accident this Spring where I bruised up my stomach, and messed up my ribs and breastbone, and apparently shook up my insides pretty good! I'm slowly but steadily getting over all those problems. I had hiatal hernia before, but that made things much worse. Maybe I messed up my diaphragm some, too, since that's where I mainly hit the steering wheel. But anyways, practicing that deep breathing, trying to do it all the time - definitely seems to be helping with the stomach, with getting out of breath less and getting over it quicker. I think as the video said, it makes your diaphragm stronger. It's easier to get a deep breath that way now than it was at first.

I have a severe escoliosis lumbar what pressures on to the stomach and gave me a severe hernia hiatus as problems intestines. i am 60 and feel 80. Idk if I have a hiatal hernia, I’m barely paying close attention to these videos, but I’ve had all these symptoms: inability to breathe a full gulp of air, having to cough to “create space” for the new oxygen to come in.
    Feeling super full even at the smallest of meals.
    I’ve had heartburn, and some doctors have said I had asthma, the other one that I didn’t, then that I was dealing with stress, and that’s what caused the shortness of breath, the other it said had to do with energy and other type carbonated drinks which I thought would be the closest to the problem.
    But the effects are the opposite for me. When I workout, I feel great, and I’ve actually gained weight. I’m always hungry, so no loss of appetite, just feeling full after the first couple of bites.
    I’ve started stretching and doing some other self treatments, but I’m getting officially checkout next month. Still going to follow these videos to see if I get better results.

      the videos are advice , but theres not much you can do on your own other than the exc which only help a small subset of people with small hernias. Is the pain on the right side of left. Please tell me. I have pain on the upper right side for years and I got ultrasound, CT scan, stool and so many checkups but still no solution. My stomach bloats a lot too.

      @Synergywellnessny  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t know what you mean by right side of left. But you could get an endoscopy or barium swallow to rule out hiatal hernia.

      I have this pain too in upper right side,have a hiatal hernia from pregnancy. Just got ultrasound (I thought it was liver disease that runs in family) my Dr says it is probably the hiatal hernia causing nerve pain,there is a nerve that runs in the upper quadrant.noy sure if that is what you are having but I thought I would share.

    How do I find a chiropractor here in LB California that does this type of adjustment?

    • @Synergywellnessny
      @Synergywellnessny  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Just cold call and ask. But if the chiro is an applied kinesiologist he should know.

    In the video you state that Barrett's is cancer. Barrett's is NOT cancer. It is precursor for cancer but it is not cancer itself. Please make sure you are making correct statements.

      @Synergywellnessny  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Correct it is pre cancerous and which means it needs to be addressed, asap.

    is there any disadvantages going for surgery?

    • @Synergywellnessny
      @Synergywellnessny  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It doesn’t typically last long the surgery and that cannot be reversed. I would recommend staying tuned to this channel we have a self help tool coming out soon.

      It sounds like you have Costochondritis and hiatal hernia. They can be linked. I created a hiatal hernia self help tool amd we are on prototype 5. We are almost done and will bring it to market soon. As for costochondritis I did a few videos on stretches for Costochondritis. I highly recommend you look at that

    For those of us who don’t have access to a chiropractor locally, I’m guessing physiotherapists can also do some of this?

      Yes they could as long as they know how. It’s not difficult. We have a self help tool coming out soon. Stay tuned.

    I’m suffering with the same. The shortness of breath makes me not even want to eat. Sleeping is awful, I have to hunch forward because I think it’s weakening my diaphragm and it’s been happening since 2017. I’m thinking of coming to see you. Can you do this HH repair on someone who is very overweight?

      Same here. Try taking cabbage juice and celery juice, wheat grass juice powder(make sure it's wheat grass juice powder, juice has no fiber..not the same as wheat grass powder). And go on low carb diet and fasting.

    Do you know of anyone in the north of England (UK) that can do this? I've had a 10cm hiatus hernia for years now and am supposed to be having surgery later this year, obviously I'd rather have it fixed like this if it's a possibility. I'm on omeprazole (max dose). nizatidine (max dose) and still need Gavison Advance liquid every single day. I've tried all sorts of different diets and nothing seems to help. I really don't want surgery as I've read that there's really only a 30% chance of it being succesful! Any help would be fab, thanks.
