Im so f*king blessed and exited. I qualified couple weeks ago to finnish air force team. It will be a long road ahead before I get to fly these bad boys but it will be worth it. Great video btw!
chomidore3 it happens every year over a course of 3 days in March for the Grand Prix where there will be a 10 min fly over aerial displays on the Fri, Sat and Sun last day of racing.
Mate, that was glorious. Thanks for sharing. MotoGP tomorrow so the FA-18C will be buzzing over my house again. Always a great moment. Imagine if they did it with 6-9 of them like the other display teams. Oh my!! 8:45 - car alarms going off. LOVE IT!! :D
Just love watching and hearing the FA/18 flying over low, it reminds me of the time that I use to go to the Detroit Gold Cup Hydro Plane Races and an FA/18 would put a low flying show at lunch time, one of the best experiences to watch and hear.
I love the F-18s!!! Those were great shots and audio you got! I was in San Diego near where the Navy does flight training for Top Gun pilots and it was incredible! This reminds me of that time! Glad you and everyone there got to enjoy! Great flying by that pilot! RAAF is legit!
I used to live in Elwood and the jets would often execute their turns directly over my flat. It was awesome, and the only part of the Grand Prix I ever paid attention to😆
They could never do this in the US because they can't do certain a lot of what they did here over crowds so if the plane were to crash, it won't crash into the crowds.
Steve Atwood Only the best of the best get to plant their seat in the seat of one of these things. The pilot would probably be a veteran of Afghanistan, or Iraq or Syria. They are used to some pretty wild flying in dangerous places. This would be a chance to just have some fun.
I would LOVE to see a mass formation with U.S. Navy Blue Angels, the U.S. Air Force Thunder Birds and a few of these boys!!!! I bet it would be absolutely mind blowing!!!!!!!!
We also have the Air Show every few years, where they do the same thing. But what you just saw, that happens once a year in the middle of March for the 3 Day Australia Grand Prix 😊

I can imagine there would be a build up every time March comes around every year for them in their apartments. It's. 3 days Grand Prix here when we have them and then it continues overseas.
🤩Golly its been too long since a Grand Airshow :/ With all this Pandemic; Can't wait to see the Updated Super BlueAngels ! Although i wonder when Thunderbirds will Update !? And I Sure do miss the Tomcat 😢
@@brendan.1979 I know... I miss it. Here in Los Angeles, the Thunderbirds F-16's did flyovers in honor of our first responders but I couldn't see them. I haven't been to an air show since 2011 I think, Miramar in San Diego is usually the big one. Lots of F-18's based there but that air show also has our F-22, Blue Angels, and F-16 as well. Glad Australia has the F-18, it's a beast!
Ii was planning on attending an air show in 2020 for the first time in years (maybe Miramar, maybe the one out by Edwards), but the pandemic put an end to that. I was out looking for the Thunderbirds flyover here in L.A. as as well, but they didn't fly over our area . . .

Some pretty daring maneuvers in a major city like that.. quite impressive.

I think this is one of the few videos that does some justice to what it’s like seeing and hearing these machines in real life! Pure thunder!!!
Check Axalp Show with the Swiss FA-18 😉

Genuinely think this is the best video of what an F18 sounds like
Just watching this again to get me revved up for the Formula 1 qualifying. Woot!!!
THE best video of the FA-18 flying over Albert Park.
Nice Vid, had me worried at the start though, oh-no not 10 minutes of watching the grass grow :-)
The noise of these things flying low is insane. Greetings from Finland.
