F/A-18F Flyover Brisbane River

"In the lead-up preparation to Sunsuper Riverfire, Brisbane residents can expect to see an F/A-18F Super Hornet aircraft flying at low level over the city on Friday, 27 September at around 1pm.
The Super Hornet will conduct passes over the Brisbane River and the CBD as the crew expertly manoeuvre the aircraft as part of the preparation for Riverfire display. "

It's cool, unless you remember the night dump and burn of the amazing F111... the aircraft Australia loved. We were the last military operators... and a night dump and burn was just F@#$ing awesome!

The F-111 was maintained at McClellan AFB, Sacramento California. Amazing fighter. Australian Air Force had a presence at the base. When the Aussie pilots went home, they brought back Aussie beer, yum! They were so kind and friendly. Love the Aussie.
