Excellent review on Delta! I'd really appreciate hearing your take on the Topping Arpegear Hane. Maybe not the tip-top best DD but it's invariably the most versatile for the quality it presents. I've paused all my $200 and under buys because of Hane's sound quality & flexibility.
I had a chance to get it when it came out and knew I wouldn't have enough time for it. I can borrow it from Apos though so you just pushed it up the queue. I don't think every 1DD needs to be the King, but I like them to sound appropriate for the price or offer something different, nice driver, different tuning, etc/
FR looks very similar to Meze Alba (like it a lot) with just a touch less subbass. Is the driver in these better than in Alba. Also, how is comfort on these? Shape could be deceiving. I've seen some sqarish earphones that were surprisingly comfy. I want to try EPZ Q5 Pro too. Cheaper. It has different FR style though.
The problen with Alba is you are paying quite a bit for the shell. If you don't care about that, then yeah, pick up a similarly tuned set. Fit is fine, but I am likely not to notice until it has a sharp corner or something major.
The graph looks a lot like the Olina SE or even Sivga Que. The Que has a deeper cut in the 5-7k range. I have been thinking about getting the Que on 11-11. Where does this rank against those?
Yeah, its in the Que ballpark, that relaxed 1DD sound. I really like Que and Goober on Hifiguides liked it so I felt less crazy liking Que. Not sure he reviewed it
I don't put sets on a burning rig. Typically if you pull a set out of the box, your brain is tuned to the previous set and the new one sounds odd. Put it down, eat dinner, try it again, and it will sound better. Try it the next day, might sound better. Burn in complete
I dove into the deep end recently with IEMs. I have no idea what I'm doing. Paul is making it easier to understand it all. I have EDX Pro, ZSN Pro 2, ZS10 Pro 2, ZST, Castor (bass), AK6, ZEN with a couple of sets of upgraded cables. All with NO mics. How am i doing?
@@RKZX2 Watch more of Paul's reviews and understand what he's saying when talking about graphs. If you can understand graphs, then that'll help you immensely. Also think about the music that you're listening to. Try to get IEMs that you think will sound good with your music.
Why do people love the bass of 1DD Paul?. I see a lot of reviews on 1DD bass like: they have most natural bass, signature decay, rumbling ears. So that means BA or Planar bass sounds weird unnatural?
You are mostly right on, 1DD bass is more familiar, more speaker-like. BA has a lower density but there are a couple BA bass drivers which are nice. Some sets use a full frequency BA for bass and that isn't great. Planar is between the two, most planar drivers can do much more bass than BAs and get closer to the impact of DD.

Very good graph
Damn these look nice!
I don't need another new iem. I don't need another new iem…
You don't need another IEM. We all love shiny new things but another 1DD? You probably have a few

Good a recent vid. Hopefully Paul or someone knowledgable on if burning in & if it's a teal thing. I've read yes & no. Anyone know?

is this a upgrade to 7hz sonus?
Not really, a bit more fun? Its just different and some people will always prefer a 1DD to a 1+1 for timbre.
I have it it my shopping cart at Linsol 11/11
My wife is gonna kill me😂
I better trim this cart…

I feel you. As soon as you think you've found the IEM or IEMs that you want, a new and interesting one pops up out of nowhere 😂
You know you don't need to buy them all. Especially
graph looks exactly the same as several other 1dds lol
Yeah, that is happening because certain levels are generally appealing.
Is it an upgrade to Sivga que
I'd be surprised. Probably a sidegrade, que is really good.
@Hijynx87 really enjoying that set. This set seems to have better stage. I love good stage.
It's more of a side grade. The Que has more mid bass.
I still prefer Que. I really liked that one, didn't get much attention at first.
