Graphs and the way it's being described, sounds like a polished ZEX. I love my ZEX. That cable is sending me spiritual guidance that I must get this when the price drops to 50-ish... eventually. 😊
Nice accessories, and that tuning has the flat treble of the OG Tea, but with rolled off bass like the EA500. Always a fan of seeing different tunings, and a bit more mid-bass is a good way to bring people in.
Oh wow, finally something different especially in that price range. You only see that type of single DD tuning on things like Twilight, Turii but for a fraction of the cost.
Graph looks like the Tanchjim Ola with the entire bass curve boosted and the ear gain reduced. That seems good to me! I'm always on the lookout for sets with this style of bass tuning, so I'll probably grab these. Thanks for the review!
CVJ Aria chart reminded me of Ikko OH2 chart. But I think Aria looks more nice, less mids and a little more bass. I recently bought a used OH2 for $35. If I find a Aria in a good price, maybe I will give a try.
Unless you're listening to music generated electronically, some orchestral stuff, or a cathedral sized pipe organ, is sub bass even required? I can't imagine there's many songs that play towards the lower limits of human hearing. I like when companies do something different and it looks like they put a lot of thoughtful effort into this set.
You are generally correct, most music doesn't go that low into subbass. Reviewers are trained to look at bass curves and say lots of subbass = good. But if you listen to music such as hiphop with a good amount of subbass, there is still a level that is optimal for the driver. But sets dedicated to subbass like Fatfreq or KZ Dawn, if that is your thing, then go for it. Everyone else would be fine with much less and better mids.
All 3 nozzles move the treble a slight amount. It is the right idea for this tuning but the wrong description. Not 3 tunings, but 3 variations of the same tuning to help you dial it in for your ears.
Its a different tuning than Libra X especially that bass shelf. Almost what I said, some people will love the midbass dip of Libra X, super clean. Aria is more midbass, fuller mids but still try to keep them clean with less subbass. It almost comes down to the weight in the mids, some people are Libra X people, some will be Aria.
Beautiful set/ cable/accessories for price but too lean for my pref. I don’t understand how companies just use iem names that are obviously taken (how many Zero’s are there?) Seems lazy and shady. I like your reviews so much that I watch the ones I’m not even interested in. your use and knowledge of the freq graph are very helpful and engaging.

Yeah, there have been a few sets that resemble ZEX. No drop in replacement, but similar sets are a good thing.
I love the look of that cable.
I think I might add this one to my 1DD collection! I like the CVJ shells fit.

Yes, even if the tuning isn't your preference, nice to see brands taking a chance on something different.
Gorgeous set loved the looks
Think I'll pick these up. Thanks as always Paul. 👍👍
Hopefully waiting for the sale in 2 days
Great review as usual. 👍👍
Nice set. 👌Sadly, I have too many 1DD sets already...
Same story for lots of people. Cool set though
Looks like time to get my first cvj
You kinda cut the line of a bunch of so-so CVJ sets.
Oh wow, finally something different especially in that price range. You only see that type of single DD tuning on things like Twilight, Turii but for a fraction of the cost.
All the cool bass kids showing up in the comments for this one. I love it too and hope we see more of this style in 2025

You and me. Once you know this bass style, I do think it is very interesting to discover your own preferences.
Damn that unusual frequency response under 100!
Different is good
Paul, could you check if the replaceable nozzles fit Simgot/Leshuoer or Trn nozzles?

Yep, lots of sales between now and the New Year so hopefully it will go lower.
That cable alone looks worth 80 bucks 😊
Not $80, but its a nice cable.

What did the equilibrium nozzle do?

Hi Paul. Does it in any way compare to the Libra X (and if so, enough to justify the price)?

@ thanks Paul, I'll keep the CVJ on my watchlist!
Yeah, unusual tuning for a Chinese set, I'm in!
They really went after Twilight/Turii. At least it is not just another "Kefine Klean" thing.
LOL..but you are right
I wonder how Moondrop feels about this
Probably in the noise for them

Thanks. I agree on the name. I have no idea what happened there.
