Playing drums properly, solid playing for the band tasty bits when required, staying in the pocket, yet this guy is capable of so much more, young drummers take note

He has a goddamn superhuman mastery of FEEL in his playing. What this really equates to is two skills: impeccable timekeeping and the musicality and restraint to not overplay. Any group of musicians would sound great with a groove that undeniable anchoring them. See also: Nate Smith
