I just made a video about that , I used the smallrig cage and I was able to get longer record times because the cage dissipates the heat much better. the cage works like a heatsink. Good video.
What's the maximum time you managed to record without overheating and with what settings? I need to record 5.3k 8:7 60fps 10 bit. Planning to take out the battery and leave the battery door open. Power it with external source and turn off any additional features such as stabilization, GPS, Wi-Fi etc.
@@synthsforbreakfast If its in the 70s outside and no humidity, i can get almost an hour. in the 80s and very humid I'm lucky if I ccan get 15 minutes. when it was in the 60s during the winter I can get a full hour. I live in floridia it is very hot here. being that they made the thing water proof and it made out of plastic it cant dissipate heat.
Some genius engineering type needs to design a small fan that goes in the battery cavity with a plug cord that shares the external power plug-in port. This would be used with battery removed. If quiet enough the fan could just run, cool, and be powered by a power bank for extreme lengthy videoing (we need to stop saying "filming" don't we?).
not safe for gopro your board is getting shorted power supply with that setup..if many times you try that then a few days u will get the issue about the shorted board..
I am at the 6 min part of this 16 min video and you have said a bunch of stuff and not started on the solutions, then I got a commercial! GET TO THE POINT!
Nice presentation, but the TOO much extra talking kills the interest in your audience. If you want your channel to grow faster, stop sharing so much taking and get more to the point.
Really good video, thank you! The only thing i'm missing are links to the metall products.

Totally wasted my time 12:33 😂 come on man this is 2024
Should I buy a camera for $400 and spend another $100-150 on it to be able to use it properly? Seriously? 🤣
Yes XDD
I guess great minds think alike. We have the exact same solutions😂😂
Hello can you shows us your metal cage level 2?
Hello can you give link to aliexpres for metal mount?

No, fans are BS, it should be just radiators
So you have to become a scientist a fabricator and an engineer to use a GoPro

Hi my gopro didnt work if i take the battery out howcome?
very good
Why hasn't the folks at GoPro figured this out yet? DJI doesn't seem to have this problem. What do they know that GoPro doesn't?
100% OSMO Action works flawlessly, never overheats! Sold all GoPro stuff 2 years ago.
So Beautiful 😍
Thank you! Cheers!
What?
lost me after 5 mins. All talk and nothing to help.

Right 😂

Ok)
