I think a licensed Tri-Ad lock would really bring some of these ridiculous, giant knives to life.
I like the idea of holding the liner lock out of the way. But I'm concerned that it would lead to serious injury if someone took the pin out with the lock still held back and having it accidentally swing shut on them.
Crkt's Deadbolt lock might be the best solution.
I love Midgard Messer. I don’t have any of their bigger stuff. But I have two of their neck knives. And even those are ridiculously big for neck knives but I love them nonetheless.
I want one, it's pretty cool.

That video you showed the liner locks on these take all the stress. I will never buy one of these giant toys now. I just don't see any point if they can't function properly. If I buy a toy knife I rather have it be for some unique mechanical fidget feature.
