This is one of the clips that I'll always be playing to remember how great this giant was. One of the most professional musicians ever to pick up a Stratocaster. R.I.P. Mr. Beck.
Another example of JB being the coolest ever. The Master Alchemist of the six string has moved on to another venue; rest easy JB, we'll keep listening to your unparalleled and incomparable work, forever ♾️
Tal is one of the sickest bassists ever. Super jazz blends with Jeff’s airy blues. They were incredible together. Thanks for the music Jeff, you were one of a kind.
Someone tell me what I've just seen. Jeff Beck playing bass bass and Tal playing lead bass. I am preparing to smash my guitar into a million pieces and dance naked around the bonfire as it burns.
You remind me of an actual event. Perhaps you will indulge me for a moment. This had to be thirty years ago and I brought my acoustic to a gathering. Keep in mind that I could barely play the thing but I was so full of myself that there I was jamming away and "singing" and this other guy who had brought his guitar (and was an actual musician with talent) was so unbelievably put off by the positive reaction I was getting from the crowd that he actually smashed his guitar into a million pieces.
@@urex1717 It goes to show how much your own energy and confidence matters, most people dont wanna hear you noodle perfect notes. They want to have fun and if you can keep rhythm, then most if not all is forgiven.
Bless your soul for putting this video on the web. Her level of sophistication is awesome. The two playing together on the single neck provides a treat that I didn't know I needed until it was in my ears.
The irreplaceable JEFF BECK, rest now, your legend is safe. Dang, pair him with Vinnie and Tal, musical madness/genius, sad to know that will never happen again, not on this plain and time anyway.
I love how JB gets so much joy out of showcasing and playing with other artists. Both he and Tal are unbelievable - it's a real pleasure watching/listening to them share this solo. RIP Mr. Beck.
Tal Wilkenfeld and Jeff Beck's nicknames were one of the most compatible bassists of all time. Even if Tal left the band to do his own work, he would always come back to Jeff. as if he were going home to himself. We fans can only pray that Jeff's spirit guides Tal. Very frustrating.
They are just jamming on a riff so that Tal can play a solo, but ................... at around 1:38 she starts playing the main riff from the song "Freeway Jam". Here is "Freeway Jam" In a weird coincidence the riff that Tal plays, and the riff you will recognize, starts at about 1:38 in this video as well: th-cam.com/video/e5i_y_ItAnQ/w-d-xo.html
I saw her live on tv a couple of years ago. She was fronting a rock band, but their songs weren't very good. Big difference between a virtuoso and a songwriter, Jeff Beck being a perfect example.

@TheKevgray1 Tal commented in an interview that Jeff's amp broke and she invited him to play bass while she took solo.
Anyone else even fathom the depth of greatness here? I'm in tears.
Queen of the Bass and the King of the Strat! 🇨🇦🎼🎸
My favorite living guitar player.
My favorite living bass player.
In one instrument
Jaco and Jimmy for non living?
Jeff Beck died today. Jan.11/2023.

Awesome. Pretty sure Stanley Clarke never let him do that. The two-person, one-bass, funk version of Blue Wind. Epic. Thanks, Jeff.
This part is when Jeff’s amp broke. Tal was so brilliant to come up with them jamming together on her bass guitar.

One of the coolest improvs I’ve ever seen, while Beck awaits his amp snafu to be remedied
Hey Perry
What happened? Where was this show at?
This is insane. I’ve never seen anything like it. Spontaneously too
So cool that someone captured this moment.
Thanks for sharing.
Awesome! Txs for sharing this. What a pearl! 👍🏻🙏🏻
Just had to revisit on the sad passing of Rock Legend Jeff Beck RIP
Tal is a goddess of bass
I love seeing these two together. Magic.
vinnie, i mean, seriously, you're killing us mere mortals.
Just phenomenal !
What an improvisation... so much talent...
Tal is like that. Such a bad ass musician.
Going to say this is 2009, the Ronnie Scott's tour I call it. I saw them in Milwaukee at Turner Hall Ballroom and Jeff did this at that show too.
One of the Best there ever was RIP
This is other worldly!
Absolutely freaking awesome
Awesome bass duo!!!
Li adoro questi due insieme!!!
JEFF....
R.I.P.
So sick!!
I love how JB gets so much joy out of showcasing and playing with other artists. Both he and Tal are unbelievable - it's a real pleasure watching/listening to them share this solo. RIP Mr. Beck.
One of the primary bassists on the internet.
That bass had a baby 9 months later.
Would that be a mandolin?
Have her and Les Claypool collaborated yet?😍
Another lesson from the master...
This is great!!
Great Bass fingers. 😮
Nice little "Freeway Jam" there at the end.
RIP Jeff Beck

He's playing her bass because his guitar Amp exploded at this performance
I never noticed how tiny her hands seem, unless Jeff has giant man hands that I've never noticed, either lol
Other than age, I'd love to hear the reasoning behind the one person who gave this a downvote. 😏
Justin Bieber fan ........................... so yes .................age!
@@rwj1313 nah, more likely some bloke Jeff's age who thinks he can play bass.
I THINK I'LL TAKE THAT CRY NOW
RIP JB
Yes j.b
Each others fingers...
A more Interesting freak show than most !!!###
Gods
She's awesome. Look at those cute tiny fingers go.😁
It was more of a "Bass Duet" than a Solo.
A diligent student of Norman Watt-Roy.
Nice homage to Jaco in the middle
Oh that IS goood.
She is god...
Jeff Paganini.
Einmalig!!!!!!!!!!! Die 2!!!!!!!
omg...
She is god... the first string ha ha ! great!
what song is this

That’s why u must learn jazz kids
Solo or Duo?
My nephew micah playz bass. too.
I saw a bass guitar in a shop window one time
Bass sounds very deep
My nephew plays 2 basses at once
Oh man 🤣
Absolutely Awesome, but it's 'cheating'😉😉😉😉
I can never blame my shitty playing on my small girly hands….
😳😍🌈😎
Прекратите щас оргазм будет!!! Какой то переворот в сознании произошёл, это ж надо такое устроить!
Can you really call this a solo? It's a duet bass solo
Rythm and lead
Where the heck did she go? Did she fall in love with a nuthouse? Drugs? What happened to Tal? She disappeared from the scene. Dammit!
She is forming her own band .As I understand
Check out the cover of bass player magazine April 2019. She hasn't gone anywhere you're just missing her.
I saw her live on tv a couple of years ago. She was fronting a rock band, but their songs weren't very good. Big difference between a virtuoso and a songwriter, Jeff Beck being a perfect example.
WOW!!
Wow
Holy crap...what just happened?
