As a biker who has survived more than one high speed crash, I can attest that the amount of protection good quality leather riding gloves gives is a lot more than just “a little extra protection”. I wouldn’t ride one of these scooters without riding gloves.
I would never ride anything that goes faster than 10mph without gloves. It’s just not worth the risk, even a crash at 10mph will seriously skin your hands (Or any exposed skin that makes contact) if you crash. I wiped out on my mountain bike on a dirt trail while taking a turn and regretted not wearing gloves that day. I thought I’d be fine since it’s not my e-bike and there’s no way I’d end up going fast enough to do any damage if I crashed.
@@MainelyElectrons People don't realize that when heading for the ground it is instinctual to put the hands out and as a result it is very common to have hand injuries, and if you are falling on concrete or worse - roadsurface, those hard surfaces are like sandpaper on the hands. I have had to lay a bike down at a speed well over the speed limit, and it is amazing how much abrasion good quality leather will take. And when you look at the gouges in leather, helmet, and boots afterward you understand that those gouges could have been into my flesh had I not been wearing proper safety equipment. At low speed gloves would be my first thought, because even at low speed bare skin just isn't designed for hitting hard abrasive surfaces and it is hard to do anything when hands are bandaged up. Even taking a P becomes difficult.
Some governments and some people Dislike e-scooters, but they LITERALLY HAVE NO BETTER OPTIONS FOR US. Only option is a $40,000 e-car, or (high price) gasoline engine (destroying the planet in the process). E-scooters are here to stay UNTIL there are better, cleaner, and cheaper options.
I just received a Varla Eagle One and the rear motor does not work but the front motor does work. I think there might be a loose connection but I don't know where.
Can anyone else confirm the difference in ride comfort from pneumatic to foam filled tyres? No matter how often i'm assured that tyre slime removes the need to even worry about punctures, i can't stop stressing about it. If it really is only a small difference in feel i think i need to consider foam also.
Great videos and locations! I recently got my first scooter m365pro2 and already done over a 100 miles in the UK on it. Been past a few police and no problems yet! Definitely looking at a mantis or such for next spring time! Can’t wait to see where these scooters go and develop!
I have Apollo Ghost which is rebranded Titan/Unicool VDM-10 which has exact same spring suspension as your Kaabo Mantis. I'm very interested in your foam filled tires. On percentage scale with 100% being original airfilled tires how much less comfort are the foam filled tires? Also will they fit the Apollo Ghost which supposedly has the same tire dimensions on a split rim wheel.
So question: over all what you think of the mantis scooter and is there another scooter that goes up and up with it quality and also prices between both that worth

Hey RK9! I bought a Niu KQI3 PRO. It's a well built scooter and I don't have any problems with it except I wish it had suspension and could go a little bit faster than 20mph. Is there a good reliable scooter with suspension and more speed that you would recommend?
i got a zero 10x and i keep getting flat tires everyday. all of them on the sides pf the tires, im guessing it's some wheel issue. anyone have this problem? pls help
Hey bro thank you for great video. Quick questions. How can you tell if your engine's and chain needs change or fix? If so, where could i get an engine for a Wuxing scooter 1600 watts 48v? Thanks
There are no chains involved with kaabo scooter, they use brushless hub motors and power controllers. Not sure what you're referring to but the majority of scooter parts are all on Aliexpress, maybe you can find the model you want on there.
@@jasonvalerio6820 i did fit it at front but its extremely squeezed. not ideal. so i think the tire is even harder now. i drove 1km and it was bumpy. its snowing here so i havent been able to test it more. but solid on rear is no problem. no bumps.
@@LifeWithStiel oh yeah bro its litt bro I'm literally the only person in my neighborhood that got a scooter that level that speed and what not the price is nice the brakes is amazing its just the wait time for the scooter was the worst part

Can anyone tell me what this part called on my scooter? It’s on the cockpit that clips on to the rear so you are able to carry it ? I tried to remove it and i ended up breaking it and i don’t know what it’s called. Please help.
Wow, didn't think you used a phone. I Record and edit on a galaxy s10+... can't wait to get a GoPro and computer... Editing will be so much easier lol How long does it take you to edit a video like this?
10 minute videos usually take me about 6 to 8 hours to edit not including rendering time and upload time. It takes a while to sort through all my footage
@@RK9Rides Ok that's shorter than I thought since you have many different shots and edits. Nice production quality on all the vids btw 👍🏾 Yeah between uploading/backing up vids took a good chunk of time. Just recently got 1gig wifi at my place because of that.
Awesome video. I have a Turbowheel Lightning which is a rebranded 10x. I wish I had known of the tires last week because I just ordered a steering damper from AliExpress and would have liked to combine shipping. I loved your explanation about gloves, as I feel the same as you. I have a few sets of gloves but never wear them because it makes using the throttle and brakes more difficult. I've had one crash on my scooter and my hands didnt have a scratch on them. There's no benefit unless its to keep them warm.
Big news! The first ever line of RK9 Rides apparel and merch is out!

Which scooter has more high speed stability, the Mantis or the Varla?
Varla all day
I took a tire off my hiboy s2 pro and put it on my zero 10x lol! I was alright but kinda wierd at high speed for sure!!

9:16 - Why not wear gloves? "I don't need any impact absorption because I'm typically riding on flat streets, not rocky, downhill single track."

Dress for the slide, not for the ride. If you're not gonna wear gloves you should at least wear wrist guards.
But personal choice and all that.
Ohh that is smart

I checked the site for the foam tires and after shipping to US it pretty much like paying 60 dollars per tire. Does that sound about right?
Worth it!
You won't have to replace tires very often
How do I know if I’m on eco or turbo mode and single or dual mode?
Lawmakers don’t want electric scooters because they are the competitors to cars which make more money for governments. (Oil is money)
