I want to install trim work in my house but there's only 2 walls where you'd really see it due to furniture placement. Is it okay to do just one feature wall with trim work?? Or does that look funny

In many countries people rent and don’t buy. I believe it is nice to make the house the way you would like, so you love every minute of it for years to come 🎉
In Italy rentals very often don't have a kitchen, so you have to buy one, either from Ikea or other shops, there's less vandalism and graffiti here.

Of course you would do all you are allowed to do! We had a great landlord too who said it's your home, his house do what you want.
I've rented many very nice homes. I have never been allowed to paint or do any major changes. I find it so interesting that you were allowed to but wow....great job.

I love your family room. It does make me smile when you say you’ve used bold paint 😊. Those are some pretty lite colors except for the family room which is gorgeous. I wish you had a little more color pop with a darker green or gray. The kitchen maybe ☺️

It is not only that you are an experienced interior designer and have a very sophisticated style that is elegant and cosy at the same time - but the most important aspect is that you love this house and really see it as the home for your future family. You will definitely lead a wonderful family life in there.

I thought you guy brought this place I didn’t realise it was a rental. I bet the owner would love it if they saw it. I’m slowly watching your lake house makeover videos when I have time. It’s turned out great.
Early on when she moved in, she used to emphasize renter friendly solutions in her videos. As time went on, looks like her landlord trusted her to put moulding up.

Totally agree about adding to what you can’t change. When I painted my main area white and put in black highlights, the black and white lighting made sense. The lights certainly didn’t go with the yellowy cream walls, orange TnG (and floor) and pink carpet. The dated lights are on the list to change out one day. You’re lucky to have a landlord that allowed you to do so much.

Kristen, I LOVE the entire makeover of your lake home! It is absolutely stunning! From the paint color, the accent pillows, wall art, just everything flows so beautifully from room to room. You should feel extremely proud of yourself for all of your fabulous diy’s you made, especially the entryway table! It is a statement piece! And the way you put a room together is just flawless! ❤ I feel the need to tell you (and stand by you) that I rented the first 2 1/2 years of my marriage. I hung wallpaper, (all with permission) put in new flooring in 2 rooms, painted trim work among other things to make our rental feel “like a home” for us! We have such fond memories from our first home. I am certain that’s exactly what you are wanting to achieve in your home. I can’t say enough, it is so lovely! You are extremely talented with your decorating. I love your style of decorating! Thank you so very much for bringing us into your lake home for a visit. I love all of it! ❤😊🎊🏡🙂❤

Such a stunning home! I love so many things about it, but my favourite moment is perhaps the guest room wall. It's a bold color choice and honestly when I saw. you start painting it on that video, I was questioning how well it would work. But finished it looked absolutely beautiful!
