Thanks for posting this! Just picked up a 2017 Outback and didn't want to break anything when putting in new bulbs. Made the job very relatable and easy to follow.
You made the map lights super easy! The unsteady camera on the room light lost me, but I winged it and it worked out. This was the only video I needed. Much appreciated!
Even though you mentioned to use a plastic prying tool, I managed to scratch the corners of the plastic. I'm wondering where can I buy replacement part for the Plastic Light Enclosure ???
This is going to sound silly. But the led I bought kind of seems too big to fit here, like it's bending the... Prongs? Or whatever it's called. Is that ok?
Hi! and nice tutorial. Do you know the proper size for the festoon bulb? Ordered through Diode Dynamics for my '17 Outback, and the 31mm is too wide. Thinking a 29mm?!
Try searching "car dome Led Festoon". Make sure you measure the length of the original bulb and buy similar length. There is some margin of few mm as the securing pins inside are a fit flexible
You would have to check the connectors mate. 99% chances are they will be the same. But even then they come in slightly different sizes so make sure you measure their length
Hi Christian, i am sorry i just saw your comment mate. i guess you have brought them by now, but if you still need them then here is the link www.ebay.com.au/itm/163882665315

Glad i could help mate
Lovely, easy to follow, and I respect that you found a new way to use an unrelated tool to pry off the covers.

Your instructions made it so easy to replace the lights. Thank you so much!
Glad i could help mate
Awesome work! Thanks for doing most of that with the one hand lol Much appreciated
Thanks for the tutorial! I couldn't figure out how to get the map light covers off
How do these LEDs work with the "theater dimming" circuitry? Do they gradually dim to off, or do they just go out all at once?
They slowly dim off mate

Try ebay or your local wreckers mate
Thank you for the video! Can you make a video about how you set up your dashcam? And does it hinder EyeSight cameras?
Hi Joe, i ran a power cable under the side pillar trim. I'll try to make a video for you. And no it doesn't interfere with the eye sight camera
I Just made a private video mate for Dash cam wiring. Here is the link linksharing.samsungcloud.com/vrnunl89OSFU
@@robinkhaira1 Thank you for the video! Very helpful!
Excellent instructions - thank you!
Glad i could help 😊

Prongs are designed to be a bit flexible. If its only a few mm difference then it should be ok
What size did you used on the rear? 31mm doesn't fit in the rear.
Why would you wanna replace the nice soft halogen bulbs with harsh/ sterile LEDs 😢
Naa i don't like the yellow light. White light calms me down and looks much better too.

Ebay link is gone. What bulb would replace that pellet shaped thingie! I only see watts volts no ID

Thanks mate! Would these bulbs fit in my 2010 Legacy GT?

It looks easy but where can I get those led lights?
I just brought them off Ebay
Thanks for the tutorial! Do you have a link to where you bought the LEDs?
