That’s not how you change the license plate bulbs. It shows you in your owners manual how to take them off from the outside. Essentially just look for the side of each housing that has >pc< printed on it, put a finger on that side and push sideways. You will feel it move and then you just pull out. Also do not use a pry tool on the puddle door light, there is a slot designed for a medium size flat screwdriver that works much better.
Just received mine today. Went with you guys because of the professional presentation and tools provided. I was leary of getting the $22 set off of Amazon. Took 10 minutes to install all interior lights. Big improvement especially trunk and door lights. Thanks!
Thank you so much for choosing PrecisionLED! We really appreciate the positive feedback, it is always nice to hear that our hard work pays off in making installation for our customers quick and simple. Enjoy your superior interior lighting!
Replaced my Forester's bulbs with white LEDs, and for the licnese plates, there is no need to pry out the interiors. You can do it from the housing outside. Mine is a '14 though, just not sure for the following ones. Good video though.
@@georgemaniatis4673 I used the tool and went from the outside to pry the casing off. I think it was a youtube video I came across. Not sure if this helps or not but it can be done. Found out it is illegal here in VA so I had to put the OEM lights back. Kinda sucks.
If I could add to an already great video, after putting my bulbs into to assemblies on bottoms of doors and in cargo area, before snapping them back into place I put some foil tape (used for ductwork) as a "backer reflector" overtop the backend of the assembly before snapping them into place figuring no use some of the light being lost illuminating the insides of door panels or behind cargo light. I believe now the light is reflecting better outward through the lens of the assemblies.
Great video. I’m replacing a taillight assembly so I figured I’d start replacing all/ or most of my bulbs. You did a great job of thoroughly covering the procedures. Thank you for a very helpful video. - Mark in PA
Changed out all the interior bulbs but the map lights. I've discovered (for us) that LED's are just too bright to be functional, when they're that close to our eyes. The OEM bulbs are easier on the retinas!🙂
After replacing all interior lights with LED ones for my 2015 Forester, DTC B2282 occurred. “Keyless access with push-button start system needs to be checked”
Great info. One question: What about the courtesy map lights directly above the back passenger and driver side doors? They’re push lights directly above the rear/side windows.
Hello Phil, my Forester XT 2017 is coming in about 1 month time, and I intend to change out all the interior lights to LED white lights. I hope you can give me some advice on what are parts I will need. I saw your video, I think its easy and I like to try the change out on my own. I also like to change the fog light as well, can you help list out what are the choices I can pick from your web. Appreciate it a lot :)
Hi Wilson, sorry for the late response, we hope you were able to find the LEDs you need using the links in the description box below the video! Please feel free to reach out at help@precisionled.com for any specific questions and we will be able to assist you further!
My subaru is a 2013 and I bought a basic light package (I think these were fog lights?) and I’m not sure if they fit right and I fear I might have an SH body. Any tips? @PrecisionLED

Hi! Here is a link to the 3rd gen Forester interior kit: precisionled.com/subaru-forester-premium-led-interior-package-2009-2013.html The trunk light would be a T10 which you can find here: precisionled.com/premium-t10-canbus-6smd-5730-led.html
