When I played my Peavy Millineum at church the women were falling out and moaning uncontrollably. My other basses didn't do it but like you say Peavy is underrated. Peace

Alex Bailey Truth. I didn't know til I got the Cirrus. Hell, I Got the Millennium, and even a Grind after that. But the Grind - while a good bass - just didn't have that "growl", or punch -as it was passive - so I had a medium priced, 3 band EQ installed with Bassline Soap bars, and that thing tuned into Mr Hyde!!

The tone was monstrous and when I took it out of the case it looked like a work of art. I have a Lakland, Smith, and 2 Fenders. I sold that bass to get the Smith, should've kept it. Joezer D I hear what you’re saying I owned a cirrus and played a smith many times. But that’s a statement that has been used for years in the bass world when it comes to comparing a Smith to a Cirrus, they’re tons of topics discussed about this in the talkbass forums. If you can’t afford a Smith this as close as possible to getting an 70% similar Smith tone. Is it an exact clone tone wise ? Nope but it comes pretty close and has a similar smith burp and slap tone that everyone’s knows and loves.

When Peavey first brought these out - I didn't really take much notice - I loved their amps, but had never tried a Peavey bass. Guys started getting them, but I still wasn't feeling Peavey as far as basses - I was then, a Fender player..Strictly. Had a few others, but the Fender J bass was w my weapon of choice mostly. About 2 years - 1999? - after they came out - a buddy of mine had me play his - brand new - no set up yet - nothing. After about 30 minutes, I decided "hmm...maybe Peavey needs a look". Still didn't buy one tho - they were a bit pricey for me - at that time. Anyway, years after they lost popularity, and got more and more scarce - and I heard cats play that had them, I took the plunge, and got a well taken care of used one, in 2014.... It's been my workhorse ever since, AND I've turned down countless offers for it. I still kick myself for waiting so long to get it!!

I have a 4 string that I play every day and frankly, I have 20 basses and I almost only play this one and the 5 string that I sold because I am at the end of my life, a killer in slap on the B that you forget that you are on the B string, the bounce is so enjoyable.
In 5 strings, I have a Spector Rebop, a Vigier Arpège, a Musicman Stingray, the Peavey is the best of all worlds, the punch of the Vigier and its tonal and harmonic richness in the vibrato and the feeling of the transfer of vibrations through the neck of the bass due to the fact that it is all wood and what wood and construction.

THEN a few years later i got a peavey DYNA BASS. LOVE IT !! Then i came across a peavey axcelerator 4 string at a pawn shop.$200.YEAH, I left with that one too . ALL AMERICAN MADE.But for some people, not FLASHY enough i guess. My last peavey was a GRIND,I Believe its called. I have zero problems taking my peaveys out. Incidentally, my first peavey dyna bass,i traded for a gibson thunderbird bass at guitar center. After like 2 weeks,i realized i had made a HORRIBLE MISTAKE😭I broke the law,by a fair amount, driving to guitar center! Of course my dyna bass had been sold.I felt like a fool, for real.Peaveys dont get the respect they should for some reason😕 Anyway,i am blessed enough to have some nice basses and,i count my peaveys as really nice well made basses. Dont discriminate on the peavey low end yall.Bass power ✊

I have owned this bass (4 string version) for years. It’s my favorite for teaching, funk, gospel, pop or anything else. It looks and sounds good year after year. I still get compliments. Go to www.artgrahammusic.com to see it in action. Keep doing what you do Johnny. So glad you gave my bass the respect it is do! Great chops and video by the way!

Greetings brother bass player. What is your take on the Peavey Millennium 5 string bass guitar is it also like a Ken Smith? Does it have the same tones as the Cirrus?

'Cirrus' is pronounced 'Si-Russ' not "Sigh-russ", Sir.

Isn’t peavey’s whole deal using cnc machines to make Basses and guitars. I think that the t40 is a cnc body.

One of my bass students has one of these ,,it sounds great is very playable, looks really good on stage, but,,to fit in and make the guitar player in his band happy he has to play a piece of crap P-bass that sounds like junk.

The tone comes from the graphite in the neck
