  • I decided to review my trusty USA Peavey Cirrus. I use this bass a lot, and I am quite fond of it.... although I probably shouldve cleaned it up before the video. Oh well.....

Peavey USA was the BEST bass ever made, next to Alembic. Go ahead and laugh at me until you realize just how damn great Peavey USA basses were made. Sure, there are MANY great brands, but I only play Alembic and Peavey because they are similar in feel, and both tickle my fancy, whatever that means, lol. The first time I bought a Cirrus in 2006 I knew I was in new territory of basses. The Ken Smith is a rich man's Cirrus.

Haha, very funny video. There were multiple scenes where i couldn't help myself but laugh. Also the slap melody was pretty cool.

I was a big fan of so many things Peavey “back in the day”. Their basses, their guitars were great too. And their amps! My absolute favorite amp way back when was the VTM120. The Mississippi Marshall! Total rock machine. I bought the 5150 just a couple months after it was released. A great U.S. company. That being said….I sure miss Peavey. Just my opinion. BTW, that sure is a killer bass, man!

thank you....nope, just DI into my computer. I have a little latency issue that I have to manually lineup the video with the audio. One of these days, I'll have to update all my doo-dads

I really liked the harmonics that you threw in during the slapping demonstration. You've really come a long way since the days of locking yourself in your bedroom with the cheap bass that you picked up at the pawn shop creating those awful sounds until you got them right.

    • @Rib13Bass

@@Rib13Bass It was? For some reason I thought your first base was a blue short scale Musicman Bass that you picked up at a pawn shop. Oh well, you know very well how my memory is. 🥴

PEAVEY makes better firewood 🔥 🪵 🪓 than it does an instrument. I've been a musician playing 4 shows a week for like 20 years.Trust me, this is FIREWOOD. I'm bitter because I am sorry to say I owned one. Such a BAD tone.
