Their policy is to not drive down residential driveways. On top of that, we have a long stone driveway so they would only drop it at the top of the driveway. In the end, the snow may have helped as we skied it down the hill to the garage. I am happy to say that our new Grizzly G0513X2 was safely moved down the driveway and into the garage.

Just got my new Grizzly G0513 bandsaw. Driver put it in my shop. Got lucky.
Wait, are you excited? I wasn't sure.
😂
Lift??? How about the bucket on the tractor?
Thought crossed my mind but worried that I'd tip me on the tractor or tip over the saw. I actually was able to get it off pretty easily by sliding it onto a mobile base. I probably need to see if I filmed how I did it and get that out. I used to have a hoist attached to the ceiling but didn't have it up when we got this saw. That's actually how I got the table saw up and onto a mobile base.
Looks like Dad's metal cables are still at work!!! Oh what makes a man's heart sing more than something with a motor...
+Sherry Caldwell always!
+Sherry Caldwell always!
Are you excited?
Fun to watch your enthusiasm !
Kenny loves his tools!
Thank God for snow!
Truth!!! If not, it might still be up there. I'd be cutting wood at the top of the driveway! 🤣🤣🤣
That's a cool toy I'm excited with you!!
Hahaha. That was a great day for sure. Cold, but good! Welcome!
Ok. I went into the Grizzly store yesterday. Wrote down my numbers of the bandsaw and mobile stand. In a week or so I am taking my best friend with me to pick it up. You remind me of him with your I am so excited! HA. So it's time for a new VIDEO!
Haha. So true! I made an unboxing video of the saw and never put it out! I may need to do something soon!
Looking forward to catching up and future videos! Blessings....
Welcome!!
Yes, hernias change everything. Take you time and think it through -- you don't say, "I'll just lift it this one time..." You never want to repair a hernia repair - - that's the last thing my surgeon said to me. I set up my Laguna thinking about that the whole time.
Well that worked out pretty perfectly!
Oh and our maid NEVER shows up.....
Boom!!!
Hahaha... How did I know you would be first! So how about that reporter?
Life On Beagle Road I’m thinking she should gotten it off the second pallet...just sayin’
😂
i know this is a good saw and im looking at it also,,but can you tell me why you got a grizzly over a rikon or laguna rather than pay the freight to get it here,,thats my biggest hangup is the freight charge
So this is the 17 inch. The equivalent for the Laguna and I believe the Rikon would be the 18 inch which is a couple grand more than this one. When I bought it, it was on sale ..basically the price of the frieght. There used to be a Grizzly close to us but it closed down... Sad day for sure!!
And you get a free pallet!! SCORE...for more projects!!!
Gotta love the free pallet!
Kenny what's that sound i hear, its whirl & buz sound Oh yeah it's your new band saw!! way kool hope your using brains not braun to get it off shipping crate and imto place! nice you'll have to make a christening video of breaking it in!
never knew UPS handles big freight!
So when do those projects start??
Buyer beware
I previously purchased a table saw and jointer from this
company with no problems however, I
bought a band saw from grizzly and when assembled it did not power on and had 3
other defects.
Reading the troubleshooting guide on page 44 of the manual I
realized that I was not qualified to work on the electrical system. Contacting
Grizzly I was treated less than poorly. Grizzly finds it acceptable to sell a
new machine with corroded wires, incorrectly installed the wiring harness for
the motor, defective start ON/OFF switch, Centrifugal and capacitor inoperative
etc.… I am not an electrician but Grizzly squarely puts the responsibility on the customer.
Under their warranty, Grizzly requires that you will affect
repairs on a brand new machine that is defective upon arrival. The only option, disassemble and ship the machine back
at your own costs for their evaluation, at which time they will decide to
repair/replace or refund and credit your shipping costs. I believe a warranty
is an insurance to repair or replace an item that BECOMES defective in time not
to ship you a machine that is inoperative on day 1.
I have been woodworking for 35 years and bought many tools,
I never experienced this lack of quality control and customer support.
Lastly upon searching the internet there is strong
possibility that I was shipped a refurbished saw.
Do read their warranty and return policy carefully.
Unfortunately I am not the only one with defective
equipment, the below links show that it is common.

Good luck
‘So’, I have the same problem.... what IS that about anyway....
My lazy butt would have rode down on the pallet 😂😂
