- Just like the title says, TH-cam Paid for this Band Saw. I don't make a lot from my videos, but after a year or so I did have enough to purchase this Grizzly G0513X2F Extreme Series Band Saw. Here I unbox and review it. Overall, really pleased with this thing.
The ruler on the bar is calibrated to the low cast iron fence *not* to the tall auxiliary removeable aluminum resaw fence, hence the reduced measurement between the latter and the blade. I have the 0513X2BF version, which is the same but has both pedal and electric brake.
While I have no idea why Grizzly ships with a blade on, it did prove beneficial for me.
After unboxing and before any assembly, one simply has to make sure the blade is tracking correctly and is tensioned, and then you can test out the electrical and make sure you have a functioning saw before potentially wasting time putting the table onto a dud.
Your only supposed to lay it down on the spine. Thanks for doing this video. The name Grizzly and plastic parts just doesn’t fit. I am so glad you talked me out of this saw. I live near Grizzly in Springfield. I was just going to pick one up until I saw this. The aluminum fence reminds me of the Winn jointer I have. I hate the fence. Thank you.
I have the G0513Xi and love it. The tape discrepancy is covered in the owner's manual. I really hope you discovered this before you took off the original tape.

I wonder if you take the resaw fence off to see if the sight window measurements match from the blade to the main fence?
AFAIK the blade they ship with are not meant to be used. They are shipped with a blade and light tension and the blade is meant to be discarded, but I am not sure. I just read that one time.
You don't have to remove the blade to put the table on, I didn't.
What about the CNC????

Hi Friend. Without going into it too much, dealing straight with China is a big pain. Turns out I had a faulty Power Supply. Manufacturer didn't want to believe it so it took them forever to agree that they sent a faulty PS. I just recently installed it an am now going to learn how to use the software. Apologies for the delay. Hopefully will have something soon.
What model mobile base did you use? Thanks
