Have at it Bruce, you can always tell the people with what and how it's customized, it's harder to tell the customizer to imagine it customized. As long as you dont go overboard with all the bells & whistles you can always see the original truck. It tingles the imaginations of what one can do with it.

I actually like the hub covers. The tombstone looks good, mebbe you could put a light inside (Red or Amber) to illuminate the logo's. IC did a great job with those underglow brackets. When they are finished it with look great. Might be an idea not to paint the deck plates at first and see what drivers think. You can always paint them after a few shows if they stand out too much against that Black frame.
I LOVE the American style added to the truck. Being an English truck driver…. It’s nice to see something different on the Scania! Great job Bruce, loving the videos
@@Minuz1 granted, but to be fair, when I customize Japanese cars and bikes, I stick with Japanese aftermarket parts because they "fit" the style, I wouldn't put American Racing wheels on a Skyline R32 GTR, I'd put some Works, SSRs, or Nismo wheels.

I really like the tombstone they've designed for you. And I have to admit, I was a little sceptical with the hub caps, but they look legit. Very nice. I like it.
You can see if that tombstone is too close by detaching that reaction rod (the air part that you planned to install the light the first time) and moving it by hand. That rod defines if your cab is on level, so by moving it by hand you can control the rear air suspension of the cabin by hand. So basicly tilt it all the way back, and all the way forward to check if tombstone is too close.
@Kratatch well in that sence yes 100% it needs to be factory for that, the saddest part is scania choose him to represent scania in the usa, even to he ruined hes previous scanias

Love the content you make. I personally Always wondered about the difference between US and EU trucks. At the end of the day its personal taste. Really excited about what the reactions are gonna be on this truck. And how its gonna perform. Wish you luck and safety on your journey

There are 1000s of heavily modded Scanias, Volvos, DAFs and MANs..... Great series Bruce....keep it up fella.
I don't see a problem with with what you're doing. You know best what Americans like. And it still has the OG Scania spirit, it's not like you're stripping it off it's identity.
If you put taillights on the plate use 24v LED lights for ease of using non-converter power straight from the chassis system. Ease of wiring and simplicity. 22:26
I would have went with square or rectangular lights on any panels as the round lights seem a bit out of place on that truck with no other round lights on it.
Those stock euro boys are mad...the Truck modding culture in England, Germany, Sweden and SCotland just to name a few, are the reason many fell in love with the brand.
Nahh, it's not the modding people are against, it's slapping on ugly US parts that doesn't fit any of the designlanguage and aesthetics of a European truck. It's like mounting Chevrolet Bel Air parts on a BMW
American culture can be dumbed down to three words: Bigger, louder, faster. It doesnt really have its own flavour, it just takes from other cultures and makes it bigger, louder, faster. 'Americanising' something often leads to destroying what once made things beautiful.

It will never be a 379, but, it’s still sexy. Cab overs look so cool done right.
Your reasons for why you do this actually make sense. If you plan to appeal to the vocational/heavy duty market, maybe try to get some information about the XT versions to display as well at the shows. Similar thing for customisations that can be done, a standing poster with pictures of customised Scania NG's, maybe even a Vlastuin converted Torpedo to show that bull nose Scania's can be done as well, and were made from factory untill only 20 years ago Edit: maybe also show that these are used to build EMS vehicles like fire trucks

As a Scania driver and owner: You go Bruce!
I love what you are doing to the Scania
Have at it Bruce, you can always tell the people with what and how it's customized, it's harder to tell the customizer to imagine it customized.
As long as you dont go overboard with all the bells & whistles you can always see the original truck. It tingles the imaginations of what one can do with it.
The hub caps look awesome bro. Keep doing what you doing! I'm looking forward to seeing it done the american way.
Every country has its own school and style.
Do it your way and don't look at others. Some people will like the effect, others won't, but it's your truck.
No it isn't
I am a retired Dutch truckdriver and there is nothing wrong with what Bruce did to this truck , I think it looks great. i have seen customized European trucks that looked really horrible , Keep up the good work Bruce
UK here; I like what they did, the hub covers look much better than I thought they would, I'm sure the blue inserts will look even better, looks like he's done the styling proud so far, on what are considered the best trucks in Europe by everyone.
I agree, I think it's going to look good. The only thing I'm unsure of is the round lights when there are no other round lights to match to, small square LEDs or strips would match the other lights.
Uk Viewer here, keep doing what you are doing, love the upgrades
I'm german and I love american trucks if scania will get into the american market we might aswell see what it would perhaps look like if it's really on the american highway. You've got my blessing i can't wait to see what it looks like man.
The V8 logo hub cover look cool.
It's your channel, you are the boss over this Scania truck, you know the American market better then us over here in Scandinavia, you have a vision, you decide... I will definitely watch 😊
No he's not. Scania own it and he's leasing or borrowing no doubt just like the international.
@@Low760 I know perfectly well that Bruce is not the owner of the truck, I follow his channel and he has explained it, but I also know that he can decide if he would like to modify it. When the truck goes to Mexico, Scania and their dealers take over.
So beautiful Scania! Great job! I am a big fan of Scania and Saab cars.
I wish that I had one of those SAAB cars with the little two-stroke engine!!! 😍
I never really saw any redeeming qualities in the later models that they produced. 🤷♂️
Any car with a 2-stroke engine is alright in my book, though!!! 😃
Bruce absolutely love your channel , and enjoying your new Scania upgrades and all the custom work your doing to it , 👍
I love to read all the support from whole europe Truckers and fans of Scania. I think we all want that the US Truckers could have this Truck standards from the EU. I don´t see a problem with Bruce light modifications to the Scania. In Germany we say -> USA is the land of unlimited opportunities... so it could bring a new custom culture to us. let the US custom companies do something hehe .... I like the Dutch customs to Scania trucks :)
I'm a tiny person mate so I only like EU trucks and I hate it he ruined it, I want it small
Been enjoying all these Scania videos, keep them up. New subscriber from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
I'm pretty sure that Volvo Trucks Sweden are watching your videos...
They will jump in as soon as Scania gets any traction in US...
Customization itself is nice idea, Scania is bit too modern truck to have those old US style lights, why not try use lights what have been used in EU?
Might be Illegal in the US....this is kind of threading new waters, I'd skip all mods all together if I was them.
This is a fun video! Lot's of good jokes from all of you. Good to see how well everyone gets along. I can't wait to see the underglow kit, it's going to look awesome!
I really like the tombstone they've designed for you. And I have to admit, I was a little sceptical with the hub caps, but they look legit. Very nice. I like it.
Awesome guys. Wishing you all Happy Holidays.
I take it you mean Christmas holidays let’s not go woke now 😂😂
Great stuff. Thank you to Bruce, Mr. Scania, and Jack, Mr. Camera, and Mr Iowa & Crew, including Harley man, Mr. Shiny. You all rock. 💙🤍❤😁
It's actually looking really sweet. Keep it up, mate 👍 🏴
Would have been better to go to a few more shows with it stock as is from the factory. Then next year do the mods.
i dont think he cares... modding a scania that new just no no no no.
@@verbatimdk Depends, euro modding is a yes yes, american modding is a MASSIVELY HUGE NO NO NO NO NO, to any euro truck.
@@verbatimdk Do you mean that we only mod old Scanias in Europe?
Modding it kind of removes the purpose of showing it to the American audience. But whatever. His life and his truck.
@Kratatch well in that sence yes 100% it needs to be factory for that, the saddest part is scania choose him to represent scania in the usa, even to he ruined hes previous scanias
The V8 hub caps are nice.
Ok. This is what you have to do, Swedish style.
Wildbar with at least 4 big freaking lights in the middle and a ramp on top of the cab with at least 8 freaking hard hitting led lights and 2 Old School Michelingubbar sitting on top enjoying the ride 🤘🏻⚡️😎
Yes it needs a ton of lights and a bull bar in the front.
That's pretty much it.
😁
Och Michelingubbar :)
A idea for your hub covers put spinners on the V8 logo or get a vabis badge so the image is always right way up
They sell them from Scania in Australia
''we shouldnt have any problem shipping them anywhere around the world and mexico'' @29:47😂😂😂
Love the content you make.
I personally
Always wondered about the difference between US and EU trucks.
At the end of the day its personal taste.
Really excited about what the reactions are gonna be on this truck.
And how its gonna perform.
Wish you luck and safety on your journey
You want to see customised trucks? Go Dutch Style .....and get yourself across the pond to attend Assen Truckshow in The Netherlands or Ciney Truckfest in Belgium or Drifter Style in Ireland. There are 1000s of heavily modded Scanias, Volvos, DAFs and MANs..... Great series Bruce....keep it up fella.
Think it turned out cool! Greetings from Norway 💪
I don't see a problem with with what you're doing. You know best what Americans like. And it still has the OG Scania spirit, it's not like you're stripping it off it's identity.
Greetings Bruce from Indiana, many blessings to you and your family 🙏
These huge front shields looks really sick on a scania
If you put taillights on the plate use 24v LED lights for ease of using non-converter power straight from the chassis system. Ease of wiring and simplicity. 22:26
Don't forget the top-down drone shots when comparing turn radius to other brands...
I would have went with square or rectangular lights on any panels as the round lights seem a bit out of place on that truck with no other round lights on it.
... remember, they're Americanizing the rig ... so it has to be junk-ish.
@ too each his own.
Loving these vids soo much!!
Yeah but it is different than american style
American culture can be dumbed down to three words: Bigger, louder, faster.
It doesnt really have its own flavour, it just takes from other cultures and makes it bigger, louder, faster.
'Americanising' something often leads to destroying what once made things beautiful.
@@dwainecana we love modified trucks.
...we just don't try to make them look like something from the 80s..

Tombstone lights should be stop light, turn signals and running lights. ( top to bottom ) if you’re bobtailing it alerts folks running behind the Scania.
Yep that monster is starting to look good i hope you have good luck getting a good working cb installed.
Like I said on your last video (and this is coming from a European (British)). If Scania were to enter the US market, it needs to appeal to the US market. Doing this series is a great way of getting some exposure for Scania and what can be done.
If they don't buy the truck because its not customized they don't deserve to own one......
@@Coole-ee1vgYou are cringe.
@@Coole-ee1vgnone of the trucks are customised if you buy a new one, not the scanias in europe or the peterbilts in america, the owners customise them to their own liking, americans have a different style than european custom style... nothing wrong with that
Hi she is taking shape nice job 🤠🤙
Of course you have to customize it✌️ I hope you will do more stuff to it
I watched because I'm local to Iowa Customs and really like their products, I promise to not lose any sleep if those trucks never come to the states. I wish Iowa Customs were more involved on socia ledia and youtube.
Nice! Round Temu LED that doesn't fit a single design element on a modern truck. Now, make it complete with som 50s watermelon cab lights, a chrome the shit out of it and a rear plate with the same Temu light and you're there. The paint buckets for the hubs was also a nice touch.. 😅😂😂😂 #ScaniaByTemuFTW.
Listening is apparently a learned skill
Very nice, you guys dident go overboard, it looks very classy, but still got some "bling" on it, That is a big thumbs up from a cynical Swed! 😉
I think your videos are fantastic and what you’re doing is great. I’m from England, but live in Arizona. The controls above the bunk are for your windows. I’m expecting and your night heater controls. Keep doing what you’re doing and let me know when you are doing a truck show in Arizona or Vegas or Colorado I will be there
10 years ago here in Australia you could barely find any thing custom for a European truck. Now it’s everywhere. Some European trucks are more customised than a Kenworth K220. You should check it out
Its just a truck guys. Have fun with it. What can go wrong? It’s all about taste.
As user of Scania I'll say: that truck is on US soil, you are the owner, so do with it what ever you want to do. Do not listen to EU viewers. US style sometimes is worth admiring.
He’s not the owner
Fyi; for the audio you should have the mic pointing towards your mouth for better audio, and that scania rocks!!
The video and microphone quality is really hight now, really nice to see, been following these videos for a while and as always can’t wait for the next one 😊
Mount some lights behind the top spoiler on the roof pointing backwards. Will light up the trailer and help with loading and securing the load at night.
Hey Bruce
Let all these negative reactions explode, it is your dream! Live it buddy👍🏽 more haters, more views. Wish you all the best!
Greetings from a friend of Raymond (deboer)👍🏽
And why you did not ordered the front axle with the 385/65R22.5 size tyre? Are they not available in the USA?
Don't understand the grudge in EU, "Pimp My Ride" was wildly popular here too.
I like the custom mods. Looks very decent! Here in Europe truckers have way way crazier custom mods.
Don't get affected by the loud minority in your comments.
Poor Bruce - getting blasted by a continent! 😂 Keep going!! I think it looks great. Thought the cover would be chrome! Would fit great with the blue. But I'm sure this'll be as awesome! 👍
Funny to see these type of videos. 😂 "muuurica!! Best country in the world" But 30 years behind in alot of ways. Trucks, excavators, housebuilding and so many other things. 😅 But at least they can carry their guns and shit.
Hook lifts too. Health care....
ALL of the technology that you used in order to write that ridiculous comment was either invented or developed by an American. Right down to the electricity that you used.
And all from a country that is a mere 405 years old. 🤔
Those hub covers are sick!!!
Glad to see you have such a successful year. Can't wait until you become the first Scania dealer in the Owner-Operator market. With all the hard work and time you ve put into it you deserve the rewards. Hope all your family have a great holiday, Bill
It has to be the mileage over anything else that people and companies will be looking at
I’d go red/blue switchbacks. Red for when you’re rolling, blue for the shows. As for the truck, everyone customizes these trucks, it wouldn’t be an american look if it didn’t have lights and at least a little chrome. Keep doing what you’re doing brother. It will never be a 379, but, it’s still sexy. Cab overs look so cool done right.
I meant for the tombstone… didn’t watch the whole video before the comment lol
Your reasons for why you do this actually make sense.
If you plan to appeal to the vocational/heavy duty market, maybe try to get some information about the XT versions to display as well at the shows.
Similar thing for customisations that can be done, a standing poster with pictures of customised Scania NG's, maybe even a Vlastuin converted Torpedo to show that bull nose Scania's can be done as well, and were made from factory untill only 20 years ago
Edit: maybe also show that these are used to build EMS vehicles like fire trucks
Must admit I was skeptical and worried it will become a circus truck 😂 but what you did is relatively subtle and cool, especially tombstone and the V8 hub caps 👌
I agree, it still euro style and the light on the side skirts will look really cool.
Love the truck and love everything you have done so far keep up the good work.
if Scania came to the US with their trucks I think I'd be very interested in a trucking job lmao
It will be heavy tariffs on scania trucks.
Now the truck looks 30 years older, great
30? Come on, this start to look way older then the 90s truck.. round lights 😂
In America like they modified there truck and stuck with the same design for years, European trucks look far better than american trucks
lol 30 years older but 20km faster. We don't ride at 90kmh on the highway like you guys there 😂
@@void308 Heavier loads and smaller roads.
Looks about the same to me. And honestly the Euro lampshade curtains from the 1970s doesn't exactly make Scanias look fresh and new.
