Lots of comments about Bugatti Veyron, Guinness world record certification, etc. FYI: Bugatti ran their Veyron Grand Vitesse in 2013 with the top removed to claim a world record for fastest open top car. They ran the car in one direction only at the VW test facility in Ehra-Lessien, Germany. Guinness was not present, and Bugatti gave themselves the award anyway as the speeds were certified by the German TUV.
So when the car was accelerating it hit about 1 g, so that means the force of acceleration was equivalent to earths gravitational pull so that means the force of acceleration was pretty much like, say, falling off a tower? Correct my Physics if im wrong

Most people would be surprised to know that this car is not only fast, but it is also surprisingly fuel-efficient. It comes in at 24 miles per gallon with a 14 gallon tank. Really.

Then I see this jaw dropping footage, and what Elon Musk is doing as far as making high performance vehicles purely electric, and I have reason to hope.
Without a doubt his car is a BEAST in a straight line, but lap times determine how quick a car truly is. I'd love to see how it performs when corners are thrown into the mix. The engine, transmission, tires, chassis, aero/downforce, brakes, etc are all utilized to their maximum capability in a circuit. That's the true test of overall performance.

The last time the USA had the worlds fastest production car you have to go all the way back to 1992 to a virtually unknown marvel of American supercar history known as the Wiegert Vector W8, which was defeated by two British cars, the Jaguar XJ220 and the McLaren F1 (which is technically still the worlds fastest production car because of Guinness' requirements for 50 production vehicles to be produced in order to qualify for the title). And then the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo which was defeated by the Bugatti Veyron and then the underrated SSC Ultimate Aero TT, which was defeated by the Bugatti Veyron Supersports. Anyway, job well done people at Hennessey. I also noticed that you worked on the exterior as well to make the car look a little more original instead of completely like the Lotus Exige. The only thing left to do is call up Guinness and start hitting the production lines. (Also call Kazunori Yamauchi to get him to look at this beauty and see if he will render it into GT6. That way I can race it against my 300mph Cadillac Cien.)
My friend sold me stickers to for my Honda Civic. He told me they make my car faster due to the chemical properties in the stickers. He also hooked me up with ngk spark plugs. Only race cars use that stuff.

Im a car nut, and I have to say that both theVenom GT and the Veyron are magnificent engineering marvels, with lots of arguments for and against. And that is why I think this represents something much bigger. It reminds of a time back in the 1920s and 30s when the Land Speed record meant something to the world, and you had tons of people trying to beat each other when the automobile was merely about 20-30 years old (It was dominated by Sir Malcolm Campbell, but that's kinda the point as well). What I like about this is that youre now talking about street legal cars, with anyone in the world in any country with the ability to outdo each other. And with everyone here arguing, debating, fighting over these cars, that what makes this special. Its starting to mean something again where people care about it. And THAT is why I think what is happening here is awesome.

The Bugatti Veyron SS(and regular Veyron) hits its top speed on VW's private test track built to block out crosswinds and the Bugatti was doing 120mph at the start of the 5.4 mile long straight. There are a list of cars that would probably hit 270mph+ if they were able to use VW's track but of course VW youldnt allow that since they own Bugatti and are still sitting on a ton of unsold Veyrons. The veyron hit its max speed whereas the Venom GT hit the max speed this runway would allow. 0 to 270 to 0 in 3.2 miles
When someone talks about top speed or most expensive you better believe youre going to hear about the Veyron. Dont make it seem like there are a handful of cars in the 260mph+ club, theres only the Venom GT, Agera R, Veyron SS, and Ultimate Aero TT. Only one of those cars has the Guinness World Record for fastest production car and is known by people on the street for being the fastest. I never suggested that this car is a replacement for the Veyron but its inevitable when calling a car the fastest that the Veyron is going to be brought up

ok so whats your point since your stats point to the same damn outcome? even if i got the engine size wrong (it has 16.4 in the fucking name and on the engine block) and rounded the hp numbers the point still stands that the venom is faster and has better power:weight while being almost 1310 lbs lighter with less than half the price and half the turbos. also i said GRAND SPORT VITESSE not SUPER SPORT which also if you look it up the record is for 267.856 mph averaged from 2 runs.
