    I received mixed signals this week during my interview. The General Manager seemed engaged, however he was distracted at the end because his boss was calling him and he needed to take the call at the end of the interview he mentioned I may need a interview with HR. My first two interviews went great! This one left me uncertain about what is going on

      It's really weird, I had a corporate recruiter contact me, very enthusiastic and said my exp would be great for the company. He also was trying to sell me on the position and I confirmed my interest with the company. When the actual interview was scheduled with the manager, it was a video interview, her camera was off and had me turn it on grom the getgo, I found it kind of odd that her camera was off. She seemed rushed and disinterested with me from the beginning, totally opposite feeling from the corporate recruiter.

      @razorswc 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @michaelwang1079 I would say the majority of places I have interviewed with probably haven't read my resume or they just want more information. I've gotten so many questions they would know had they actually read my resume. One of the biggest indicators usually is when they ask if I've ever worked with a software that's on my resume.

    That abrupt change in attitude (and how you're treated) after something goes wrong is yet another parallel that job interviewing has with the beginning stages of dating someone. There is a much higher level of respect that goes along with being interested in a person. Just like with the interviewer becoming hostile and disrespectful......if you lose (or never really had) a date's genuine interest, she may start treating you a lot worse before long. And if that happens, it's a flat out irreversible no.

    This video only has 400 likes that’s crazy. Great video! I just had an interview today and everything was going great. Interview was over, hands were shaken and I was leaving. The guy that did the interview was headed out also (interview was right before lunch). I was maybe 20 feet from my car and right before he turned to me and asked me another question. “So, overtime, like 70-80/weeks you’re good with that right?” And I looked at him and said “yes to an extent. If the company has the occasional need to exceed 60hr weeks, absolutely. But not constantly over 60hr” and immediate Mood Shift. I feel they may still offer me the job, I’m probably the best candidate they’ve got for the job. But if they don’t, I’m 100% sure it’s because of my answer to that question in the parking lot. Side note: IMO if a company expects all employees to regularly work 70-80hr weeks, they need to just create more shifts and hire more employees instead of paying all the OT. A good company doesn’t burn out their employees like that. I got a feeling during the interview that this company expect constant 70-80hrs. I’m not sure I even want the job at this point. I wasn’t even looking up this video I was looking up “how to politely turn down a job after an interview” when I came across this. Great video!

    I’ve just about experienced each sign. From the distracted interviewer to some who have never bothered to look at my resume before an interview. Both seemed disinterested and ready to finish the interview. I have also been rushed at the start of an interview and told “This will be quick, I just have to get through these questions”.. Now, I haven’t experienced any of my interviewer’s mood shift, but I have seen some frowning.. On the positive side, I have been hired at a job where the interviewer really tried to “sell” me the company and job. They talked about their willingness to teach, patience, pros about the job, and so forth. I know now for my next interview! Thanks, Ben

From that point i knew they were not going to hire me. It was like they just needed to interview someone to make their quota. I knew that they already decided who they were hiring. It was me vs. an internal.
    Guess what! They hired the internal and wasted my time. I was disappointed and furious! I really wanted that job. 😢

    I'm interviewing with a big time profitable company and I'm so anxious on if they'll hire me or not. Their process has been about a month long. I got great feedback from my first two interviewers but I'm unsure about the last one. I was confident and prepared but not cocky. The third interviewer kind of left me a little unsure though. He seemed like he was in a rush from the jump. They did recommend me to move forward in the interview process rather quickly(about a day after the interview). It's not an industry that everyone gets into but I am super anxious. The reason the last guy left me a little unsure is because the interview did go rather quickly and we finished 10 minutes early but to be fair I finished all interviews a little early. Because they were so impressed The way I'm taking it is they want to hire me but had to do the third interview because that's their process or he wasn't impressed and wanted to get me off of the phone rather quickly. 😂😂😂. He did give me a time frame and said it would be a week because that's their process. I'm just so nervous and my bday is this week. If I don't get this job then I know the universe hates me😂😂😂. I had a virtual interview today for infection control nurse, things went well, but one thing that stood out, which was odd but maybe she had good intention? The recruiter mentioned that the Director of Nursing was an agency hired DON and she’s ready to walk out the door, there is no Assistant DON and the staff is set in their ways hard to deal with. So 1st: I jumped on the opportunity to ask for a combined role of ADON/Infection Control and 2. Does it sound like she was trying to turn me off from the job?

Because the first posting only had a few applicants and I was one of them. I thought I did well though but I guess you never know. The interviewer also told me that they are trying to build a team of people in the position that I applied for, so I am leaning on the fact that they just want/need more applicants, but this has me overthinking. Then the part that you said is a huge red flag. She mentions that they are interviewing a few more ppl bcuz of the memorial day holiday they need more help but should be receiving email by may 1st with offer letter. I was up in smokes didnt know what to feel about how she really felt. These types of interviews are really tricky. She also mentioned I could text her anytime any day. I got home sent a thank u text and mentioned that regardless of what decision is made I still appreciated her bringing me to interview and how lovely of an experience it was. She ends it by saying thank you and we'll be in touch soon!!. I need your input plzzz help what do u think

    Hi I’ve literally just left a interview. This was my second interview with the facility and it felt like smooth sailing until the end. I had to ask about the next steps and was told they usually do 3 interviews but I wouldn’t know when my 3rd one was until they touched base with another candidates interview. It left me concerned because I’m not sure if that was her way of telling me you probably won’t hear from us again …. Thoughts

    Hi Ben, I had an interview a week ago and the interview went really well. After the interview the acquisition talent recruiter got back to me that the hiring manager really enjoyed talking to me and that they had a few other candidates to interview and will get back to me before the week ends. Today is the second day of another week and I have still not heard from them. Does it mean I didn't get the job ? I will greatly appreciate if you can provide me with an answer. Thank you

    Hi Ben. I just had an interview recently. First round was with hiring manager after first round he arranged second round with client where he and client both interviewed, they were engaged, asked good questions taking notes explained roles and responsibilities and how the company is performing. I felt few of my answers we’re not that mature but overall i give good answers as they were agreeing to my answers overall. At the end they said we will discuss and inform hr our comments and hr will contact you right after my update. Its been few days. Not calls from hr. Did i got rejected?? Because they both are the decision factors here so these many day delays means rejection or any hope left?

    Wait wait so if they already made the decision to move forward with you but they are just going through the motions with you as courtesy, that's disingenuous and I'd rather be told upfront nope lol. I will blast applications out all day until I get a yes for roles I know I can do. The least they can do is just tell me. I'd even go as far as asking if I can have the job if the vibe is right.

    Your videos are so informative, but I'm beginning to think that the hiring process needs to have a complete overhaul. IDK if there are methods in place already, but employers need to find recruiters that are empathetic, professional, and don't rely on implicit biases to make judgement calls about the viability of candidates. In short, the job hunting really SUCKS.

    In the most recent interview I attended, I didn't know what to think. From the very beginning, the questions were so open ended and he never wrote anything down. But, at the same time he was saying how he liked that I was already pursuing ventures in this field and he could that could tell that I wanted to move forward and progress in this field. He was selling me on the perks of the company without even my asking. He brought up pay without me even asking. He told me that as long as one got their work done it was ok to go home early on a Friday. He told me how family work-life is important. It seemed like all he did was try to sell me on the company. He said that he rarely turns down request for time off. He told me about the travel allowance. He was very thoughtful on the answers to my questions and said he loved some of the questions. But, he only asked me three questions: 1. Tell me what brings you in today 2. How do you feel about working with customers and 3. What questions do you have for me.
    It seems like it was only a formality but I can not tell which side it swayed. It's killing me, this is an opportunity I thought would never come.
    I should I take this?
