My moms funeral was today, she was in there hospital for about a week before she passed. She struggled with a drug and alcohol addiction, along with several mental illness my whole life (16). And due to that the last 4 years have been really rough. I remember finding this song a long time ago and just sobbing. I guess now I’m at peace knowing that all the voices, all the people who’ve hurt her are gone. My mom wasn’t the best, but she fucking tried, she tried. Now all I know is to take my meds, brush my teeth, and live for the next day. Love you mom, I’d pay so much to live in 2016 again.

My mother was bedridden for five years of my life because she has CIRS and we had a shit ton of mold in the house we didn't know about. I was stuck from 3 to 8 learning how to do chores and take care of my mother, myself, and all the animals. My dad was absent at the time up until recently and my siblings all moved out years before. She nearly died in the upstairs bathroom, and did suffer from hallucinations and weak legs. We couldn't afford going to the hospital either. She's safe now, still sick but capable of doing things every day like working on the house or doing farm chores, and I'm now almost 13. It sucked.

My mother was bedridden for five years of my life because she has CIRS and we had a shit ton of mold in the house we didn't know about. I was stuck from 3 to 8 learning how to do chores and take care of my mother, myself, and all the animals. My dad was absent at the time up until recently and my siblings all moved out years before. She nearly died in the upstairs bathroom, and did suffer from hallucinations and weak legs. We couldn't afford going to the hospital either. She's safe now, still sick but capable of doing things every day like working on the house or doing farm chores, and I'm now almost 13. It sucked.
