Hey man love the videos. Gives a different perspective of different sewage systems from other countries... as a professional drain cleaner in the states love seeing what other people use for the jobs.
Not just anyone, but someone who seems to be a professional drain cleaner. That and it is intriguing to see what clogs up various drains. This despite the fact this is a mundane job. Someone has to do it. Better done correctly the first time.
The right man and the right tools do it all. I had a return problem like this. Each time the man came, I had to help him because we had to use the vent on the roof. A neighbor came over and said why do I go on the roof, the machine weighed lots. He asked why we did not use the sewer box in front of the house? It was kind of him to point out where mine was, that is when I dug a hole and put a plastic bucket to be a location finder. Then the sewer guy shows up a couple of years later and had a TV on a line, showed by the forest in the line. Replaced and had no problem since. Since then I have got rid of some trees, a willow being the worse, neighbor (same guy) showed me the roots he uncovered and the fact they went around the corner of his house and lead right to the 140'' monster. Amazing work is done by people with the RIGHT tools.
You picked it! the cameraman had a day off. The guy filming was a plumbing mate that i did a job for and just handed him the camera and asked him to record.
TheRealDeal I agree the boys tend to be the silent type however the excitement of a newbie to the program shouldn’t be dismissed. Let’s be honest, a little narration can enhance the experience not to mention that the Jaws music could have worked well for a few of their jobs! 🦈
At least this clean-out is outside. Here in the U.S, in the Northeast anyway, the clean out is usually in the basement, which is kind of gross now that I think about it.
They smell like fresh compost or good soil, or like the earth smell after a heavy rain 🌧 dung 💩 is kind of odorless in water, unless there is gas trapped and smells like that rotten eggs.
Old mate in the background lookin for dirty movie's on TH-cam hey......what a weirdo.....only thing of interest on there is stuff like what's happening on here buddy, dirty drains n lots of em
Serious question here. What kind of detergent do you use to wash your clothes. My wife and I have been experimenting with different types but didn’t know if you would recommend anything. P.s I’m a service commercial plumber.
Its what they call Hydro Jetting. So it would be using water under high pressures. They also have a wide variety of jetting tips. Some tips blast water forwards where as others shoot water backwards. Some cleaning tips spray outwards to clean the inside of the pipes. Objects stuck in the pipe such as a ball, stones, or pieces of the pipe, they will use the backwards jet so they can bring it back out. Immovable objects such as roots or a complete pipe blockage, they will use the forward jet to cut through the roots or the complete blockage.
Roots chase water of course and they start out extremely small and as thin as a blade of grass. Nature is amazing but can also be relentless. The primary access areas are the joints where the pipe or a tank/reservoir are connected. Old school drain products were as simple as clay piping pieced together and roots easily penetrated that. Modern day systems are primarily plastic with glued joints. Even that can open up especially in areas of the world that have freeze thaw cycles and ground movement so it’s usually the joint seperation that is the damage and not often the actual pipe itself. We’ve all seen how tree roots can move some serious concrete in sidewalks so imagine how easily it could seperate pipe joints if not addressed or maintained like service from these guys. They do excellent work!!

At least this clean-out is outside.
Here in the U.S, in the Northeast anyway, the clean out is usually in the basement, which is kind of gross now that I think about it.
They 'could' cut the whole pipe and install a clean out pipe.

Read a bunch of comments to see if anyone said what to do about the roots. Will they just come back and a piece of pipe needs to be replaced?
I love it! 'It smells like roots' What in gods name do roots smell like 🙄
They smell like fresh compost or good soil, or like the earth smell after a heavy rain 🌧 dung 💩 is kind of odorless in water, unless there is gas trapped and smells like that rotten eggs.

Are you guys using air or water to clean the pipes. Also what tips are you using
It's a high psi jet pump.
Its what they call Hydro Jetting. So it would be using water under high pressures.

Yet again success!!!! BRAVO BRAVO 🚽🚽🚽💩
Did you snake the line also. Or just use your Jeter on it? Which style Jeter head?
How many pounds per square inch is your unit?
How can roots grow inside a pipe without damaging the pipes?
Roots chase water of course and they start out extremely small and as thin as a blade of grass. Nature is amazing but can also be relentless.
