Coming from two sport bikes I remember the first time I wrote a cruiser I was yelling and laughing in my helmet the whole time! Just a different feel and attitude to the ride Loved it.
I'm a rider of 38 yrs owned several bikes over the years,I'm 56yrs old 240lbs I have a 2014 vulcan 900 classic and ride 2 up alot and this bike is awesome,,I bought it from a dealer with 9k miles on it and paid 5g and worth every penny, love the handling and plenty of power and very dependable and lots of compliments on looks and sound,,great bike.
Got me a 2008 Vulcan 900 and boooooooooooooooyyyyy I’m over looking for hard bags and sissy bar and apes! Gotta love the feeling on these bikes! Enjoy and ride safe!
2021 model purchased last year as a leftover I ride 2 up with my better half She's only about 125 lbs and I'm pushing 200 lbs That bike pulls our 325 lbs around all day no problem
Glad you touched on the freeway experience. My Honda Shadow 1100 is a torquey bike and cruises backroads great, but at 75+ you're hanging on for sure. Gets tiring after 15 20 minutes. Got a Memphis Shades batwing and now can cruise at 80 with one hand resting on my knee. How guys with apes and no shield do it I'll never know.
"5th is too high" is something I have never heard from a Vulcan rider going > 50mph, as most of us are trying to shift out of 5th into a non-existent 6th gear. 😄 Nice video, I love the excitement.
Thanx for sharing and congrats on your bike. I have a Yamaha raider that I've had for several years and I put cobra swept pipes with fuel controller on it and luv it lol. So if u have money maybe look into changing the exhaust or some guys drill holes in the baffles or just remove them but anyway hit the highway n be safe.
My first and only bike is a 2015 Vulcan Classic 900, and I love it. No matter what bikes I end up having in my life, I'll always have the Vulcan. I'm never going to give it up. 😁
Originally it had a wind shield. I have a 2009 Classic (not LT) With a Memphis Shades removable windshield. It's nice because you can pop it off for around town .Only takes 1/2 a minute to put back on. They also make lowers to match. Had it up to 85 in Texas and no control issues. The stock seat is fine for a couple hours. Put a Mustang w/back rest on mine and can ride all day. Throttle lock and Grip Puppies and you're good to go with the Big Bikes that cost way more $ . Took the Cobra 2-1 pipes off and replaced w/ stock pipes so I could ride all day. You deffinetly picked the right bike!
I'm just taking my first steps into the biker world, always dreamt of it as a kid but grew up in near-poverty and never was able to ride anything but pedal bikes. Now I'm 37, at a point where I'm (relatively, thanks canadian government) financially stable, and I inherited some cash from my grandmother. I purchased a 2011 Vn900 custom special edition last fall and i'm absolutely dying to get out and ride! I took the motorcycle beginner's course in 2022, rode a honda rebel 300 for most of it (god what an awful seat!), but i did take the opportunity to make a few laps around the parking lot on a ninja 125 that they had. Only positive opinion i have on crotch rockets is how easily they corner. Other than that, I don't like the riding position, i dont like the sound they make, hell I dont even like the way they look. This guy's a cruiser rider, any day
It's crazy how triggered some people get over sound issues, with their incessant bitching and complaining if someone makes a noise that sets them off. So many times I see vlogger's apologizing profusely for wind or some other sound that enters into the video. I say fuck em. Great video and new subscriber here.
Remember horsepower is a theory. Torque is absolute. Thats what vtwins are all about. Manipulating the low end torque. Most vtwins peak at 2700-3500 rpm. Thats where you want to shift at and cruise at. In 5th gear on this bike thats 65mph. Horsepower is of no concern on a vtwin. All the ooomph is on the low end
I have a 07 nomad 1600 I can cruise at 85 90 all day, and I'm sure that 900 can get up there as well, only crouch rocket riders want that need for speed at every stop light😅
Your right. The bike is missing a 6th gear and optional ABS or it would be perfect. When you go through the gears your left foot looks for 6th gear at 62 mph, but no.
I have a 2014, same bike. It is the best under 60 mph motorcycle on the planet with Michelin commander tires, period.

I love my Vulcan LT - ive owned 5 bikes- Ive tricked this out and make it so fine, my friends on harleys and indians like my VULCAN!! - really
Of course it's great, it's designed for riding on roads not race tracks. And it's a Kwaka!
How many miles is on it? I’m looking at one same year
a bit over 15k now. bought it with just over 11k on the clock.
Subscriber 69. I've been looking at buying one of these and turning it into a bobber
GIGGITY!

No windshield

They didn’t even give you a full tank of gas?
Petaluma !!!!
Everybody do the same kind of "review". Not even a walkarround to see the bike a little bit.
Get used to going 55 mph because that’s the top speed on that bike.
No it isn't 🤣 mine is very comfortable sitting at 80mph

I had a 900 for about a year. Will cruise at 80mph all day if u don’t mind the buzzing but it really is a fantastic bike.👍

Mine too! Was riding in Texas last month. Most roads there are 75-80. No sweat!@@ElJohno83
I got me a 2009 classic! I have put 10,300km on her in 14 months. I fking LOVE my baby. Be safe bro and love every second! 👍😝👍
I've had a lot of cruisers it's hard to beat them Vulcans
