IMO this is a very underrated card. This is a keeper card for sure because if you fly just once a year you’ll easily make up or even exceed the annual fee just by checking a bag and going to the lounge
Can’t wait to get this card later this year! My home airport is Ohare and so since ORD is a United hub and also has terrible lounge options, this is a match made in heaven for me! Thanks for the video Mark!
Just got the Club Card last month, mostly for the lounge access. I was tired of getting turned away at PP lounges do to overcrowding. Best decision ever.
I responded to a targeted mail offer for 65,000 points and got the card. Plus, I live close to a United hub (EWR) and always fly the carrier so...yay for me!
@@markplymale same here. Miami is an American hub and Delta is a distant second. United is further down the list. United has a bigger presence at Fort Lauderdale FLL that I fly out of occasionally. I think of all the $95-99 airline cards, United might be the best.
Dont forget you can use points to pay for that fee! So you're essentially not paying anything at all for that card. I just did this. Its 6.2k after your first year not sure how this equals out but i hate paying fees so.
I will downgrade the Explorer to the Gateway because I got the United Business card, which gives me 5K miles and $100 back if I buy 7 tix in a year, which I already do.
Just received a message from Chase, I am pre-approved for this card. Just see it as a benefit card. No good spending multipliers. Good benefits though if you can fly United at least once a year. Make up the AF in checked bag fees.

Should be a perfect card for your needs!

That card is so sweet can’t wait to make my video on it!
I love this card. So many benefits when you fly. Great breakdown, Mark
It's more cost effective to get Global entry. That way you can get TSA precheck with it, and you have that global entry if you ever fly overseas
Totally agreed!

Nice bonus congrats on that!
Good timing on this video. I recently got this card due to moving from PNW to a United hub. Got the 65k offer and just received the SUB today ✌️
That’s awesome man congrats on the 65K offer!
Thanks for the overview Mark 🙏
No problem!
The United Explorers card has a lot of good benefits for a $95 AF card and even better that the AF is waived in year one. And a 60,000 mile SUB too.
It really is a solid card overall. I don’t fly United much but if I did I would like having this card

Good plan!

It really is a solid card! Easily pays for itself if you fly United even once
I'm going straight to see if you have videos comparing United lounges to Delta lounges.
Any idea how long the "limited time offer" will last?
Nice card! Thanks for the info man!
It’s a pretty sweet card, thanks for watching!
Just got this card
i'm deciding if I should get the Card I want to get a card I would get value from.
Do you fly United often?
@@markplymale sometimes yes depends on price or I fly which ever has a good price.
if everyone has tsa precheck....no one has tsa precheck
What the start limit?
Depends on income and other factors
👍🏻
👍
No one make it clear for card holder purchase the United fare actually get 7 X not 2X
Only card holder
