From this video I learned I could use my Amazon Prime points for a statement credit, I've always thought the biggest downside to this card was you were forced to use it for Amazon purchases and forfeit the 5% that would have been earned. Thank you for including that part, it's a game changer for me.
I have the Reserve and will most likely renew it when my AF hits in a week or two but the CSR needs to stop messing around and just needs to add some kind of hotel status, IHG/Hyatt, or lounge access like United Club. The DD coupons are nice but they’re aggravating in the sense if DD cancels your order you don’t get to use the $10 coupon again and access to Maple Leaf Lounges was an odd addition. For me and my family it’s a points earning machine at Disney which is one of the reasons we keep it
How is it that good at Disney? You'd think a card with entertainment and dining bonuses like the Savor would be better. Do you just stay on-property and charge everything to your room so it all codes as hotel or something?
@@Lancun yep, if you’re staying on property everything you buy, food, souvenirs etc, that can be charged back to your room will code as travel. Same as when you pay for your hotel/tickets it’ll code as travel as well. Not sure if you buy tickets on your own then I’m sure the Savors entertainment category would work best but we always tend to stay on property for the convenience
@@Nick-1828 That's a good perk. For my particular use case, I very very rarely ever stay on-property anywhere since I work for Hilton and get ridiculous hotel discounts in the Hilton portfolio. So I'm sadly unable to charge to the room. I'll probably stay on-property sometime (thinking French Quarter), but when you can book the Waldorf Astoria at Bonnet Creek for $90 a night, those Disney hotels need to be amazing by comparison.
The top SWA cards are either S or D, depending on whether you fly SWA enough to merit the cards and their almost two years of companion certificates. In the right hands, they are the most powerful CC duo you will ever see, and you really only need them for the SUB and spending to clear off the perks that outweigh the AF. At the end of 2 years, refer your P2 and cancel them. The Disney cards offer 0% financing on Disney vacation purchases, including DVC. Helpful at times.

The OG Freedom doesn't have 3X on dining and drug stores. Of course not an issue if you have other cards with Chase. But if that's your only card, the Flex is better for that.

The default option is to use the rewards to pay for your Amazon order when you check out. So I've just been doing that. Most people are probably doing that too. But if you do it that way, you're earning less rewards because it lowers your total. Does that help at all? I think Chase explained it better in his video.
Lets say you have a $100 item to buy and 5,000 Amazon Points. You can do the following: 1. Use 5,000 points ($50 value) and charge $50 on your Amazon prime Card earning 5% back or 250 points. You end up with 250 points in total after. 2. Redeem the 5,000 points as statement credit or direct deposit ($50 Value). Charge the $100 to your Amazon Prime card earning 5% back or 500 points. Both scenarios you pay the same amount but in scenario #2 you earn 2x as many points.
I agree. I started with Slate Edge, and in six months, Chase offered me Freedom Unlimited or Freedom Flex, already approved. For me, Slate was a big deal bcuz I never thought I would get a Chase card. I'm keeping Slate Edge until my annual percentage drops to 9.4%.
You’re right that the Disney Visa is a bad deal, but you do get perks in the parks with Disney Visa cards. It’s some photo ops and I think a lounge? You can still get those things with the Disney Visa Debit supposedly.

The Slate Edge is a credit builder or credit rebuilding card, is not that it is trash or useless, it’s that it is specifically for credit building!

9:35 Ink premier does not give you UR points like the other ink cards. The bonus is $1,000 not 100,000 points
