🥧 Thanks Sebby, your recent videos on Chase cards helped me to get the recent 75k bonus for Chase Sapphire Preferred. I had this card for over four years and with your explanations of the rules, I was able to get a new Chase Sapphire card and the 75k bonus offer.
Hey Sebby! So does this mean if I have the Amex Bonvoy Brilliant, there shouldn't be any constraints on me getting a Chase Bonvoy card? Wondering if there's any good ones that would pair well to stack benefits
Does 5/24 apply to authorized users when they go to apply for their own accounts? So would they have to wait 24 months from the day they were authorized to apply for their own?
Most issuers report the original open date for AU cards (I believe Amex is the main exception), so if someone is added to a card that's more than 2 years old, it won't ever affect 5/24. It also doesn't affect bonus eligibility for a card that someone is an AU on.

Because I wanted to add the Amazon prime card and then the reserve But if the capital one business counts as a card Then am I out of luck?
I wanted to ask how long should I wait to add a credit card. I haven’t had a credit card in 7yr. I apply for the venture one card and got approved about 3 weeks ago and wanted to add another card. Is it ok to apply for another card. Looking at a chase freedom card. Credit score is around 720
You are in a great position to start building huge with chase! Take your time and don’t rush into anything. Research all of the chase cards and make a plan to acquire the ones you want in a well spaced out timeline. If you have any plans for business cards, focus on those first before you add to the 5/24 status.
Do you see any reason to keep both CSP and chase ink bus preferred? Both 95 AF CARDS. Debating on grabbing the BUSINESS PREFERRED AND downgrading CSP when I do. Thoughts?
@@AskSebby I grabbed the CIP a few months ago for the sign up bonus and a small build project that put me well within the sign-up bonus spend. I have CSP after downgrade from CSR I picked up back in 2019, I think. Given the 48 month rule, I will probably downgrade CSP to some freedom type card, then re-apply for CSR (I guess? Whichever has the greater sign-up bonus). Plus, if you're trying to develop the business relationship with Chase then having the CIP helps that. Otherwise, I'm having similar thoughts as OP: Is there practical value for CIP and CSP simultaneously? #AskingForAFriend
Can I get approved for a second Bonvoy Boundless card if I upgraded the first one to Ritz card already? Willing to forgo the SUB since it hasn't been 24 months since I got the bonus
I have a Chase United Club card. You left that out of the review. It seems to have some good perks. Over a five year period I upgraded from the Explorer to the Quest to finally the Club. Your thoughts on the Club card, please.
No, because they are both no AF cards. You downgrade a card to lessen or avoid an AF if the card no longer gives you the benefit for the AF they are charging.

Earning isn't great: can do almost as good on some categories, better on others with Chase cards. Strategy is to use it as an "everything else" card up to $15k free night award. IHG would be backup hotel card (Hyatt isn't everywhere I need it) and want sign up bonus for future trips. Overall, the goal is max yield from spend. I think I can get more juice out of squeezing Hyatt's loyalty program (using its superpower - high redemption rate) than juice from simple cash back cards (e.g., X1).
