    So i ran the modified 15T ETRONIX motor for a couple days and have to be honest it was a nice performance increase over the stock motor but still not enough to keep me interested. Not only that but even running on 14t pinion the motor was getting seriously hot running on 2s lipo.
    I wanted to stay brushed to keep costs down but the feeling just wasn't there and going brushless was the only way to go but still on a budget.
    Now guys i have heard good and bad things about these GoolRc esc and motor combos so not sure what to expect from this.
    Motor: 3500KV
    ESC: 60A 2s-3s
    Lipo: Floureon 2S 5200mah
    Today go the system fitted and gave the truck a test.
    Enjoy and if you liked this video please consider subscribing i am returning to the RC hobby after 9 years and have some very big plans and ideas i would like to share with you so stay in touch.

    Is this combo quick on the straights as well not to sure if I should buy

    • @beyondRC
      @beyondRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very quick and on 3s is mental. I was lucky but some have said the ESC doesn't hold up well on 3s it's a bit of a lottery. But I wouldn't let that worry you it's a good combo for the money.

    Did you have to program the esc i put the same set up in my little cousin's granite and it sputters then goes sometimes he has to kick it to get it to move thanks for your time

    • @beyondRC
      @beyondRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have to be honest the goolrc setup in this truck wasn't very good it did pretty much what you are explaining which in technical terms they call it cogging. I think the motors are fine its the ESC's that are not very good! I have since fitted a MAX10 SCT by hobbywing and it is flawless. I guess you get what you pay for!

    If I convert my granite brushed to brushless, Do I need to change the transmission / differential or it work well without to change ? I would like to run it in 3s :)
    Thanks !

    • @beyondRC
      @beyondRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! It depends on how powerful the new brushless system is going to be. I am now running the hobbywing max10sct 120a esc and motor and the standard brushed slipper couldn't handle the extra power so had to run the blx spur and clutch assembly and now have no issues at all. Standard diffs remain just the slipper and clutch assembly had to be changed. You will love it on 3s!

      @@beyondRC Thank you for your reply ! :) I think to put the a 2800Kv. I don't need to go to 100mph hahaha soo I think 2800Kv with 17T pinion would be great :)

    So how did everything turn out,im asking becuase im thinking of buying the mega next week,its alomst impossible to find the BLX.And im new to the hobby ive been flying micro drones ,this truck seems to be the best out of its class and would like to upgrade at some point when i have learned.

    • @beyondRC
      @beyondRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the megas are great if you plan on sticking with the brushed system. it wasn't enough power for me so i spent a lot of money fitting all the blx gear to make a high performance brushless system work. i would recommend waiting and getting the BLX at the start as it was far too much effort converting after and way more expensive. if you plan to stay brushed then the mega is a great choice and easily best MT in class

    How did u bind the remote to receiver

    • @beyondRC
      @beyondRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1. Insert the Bind Plug in the BIND port on the receiver.
      2. Connect a fully charged battery pack to the ESC.
      3. Power on the ESC. The red LED flashes, indicating the receiver is
      in bind mode.
      4. Center the ST TRIM and TH TRIM dials on the transmitter.
      5. Turn the steering wheel to Full Right. Power the transmitter on
      while holding the steering wheel to the Right.
      6. Release the steering wheel when the receiver LED stops flashing.
      7. Remove the Bind Plug, then power off the receiver to save the
      settings.
      8. Power off the transmitter.
      9. Remove the bind plug and store it in a convenient place.

    How has it held up since you installed it?

    • @beyondRC
      @beyondRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Changed it out pretty quick it was cogging like crazy. This system is just too underpowered to be effective in a 1/10 monster. I went for a hobbywing max 10 SCT and never looked back!
