    Overall, a good leader for Egypt and its people:
    * An actual war hero, who commanded the Air Force in the 1973 war that helped restore some prestige to Egypt and take back the Sinai
    * The best Egyptian leader in history when it came to relations with Europe: Egypt had almost brotherly friendship with France, Italy and Greece
    * Tried his best to help the Palestinians. Together with the Saudis, Mubarak deserves some credit for the creation of the Palestinian Authority
    * Successfully resisted attempts by the Americans to privatize everything, and still managed pretty good economic growth, especially in developing the tourist industry.
    * Personal freedoms under Mubarak were better than under both Nasser and Sadat, and of course better than today.

    Please make a video on the "Afghan deal process" whether it will be succeeded or not, and what is the role of Pakistan is this deal?

    • @raufbhatti6003
      @raufbhatti6003 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If such a video was made - don't expect it to reflect goodly on Pakistan. The ISI has, historically, had strong ties with the Afghan Taliban. So strong - that at times some journos & media suggest that Pakistan controls the Afghan Taliban (true in some cases). Hence, bringing the Taliban and the US on the same table is something that has been done by the influence Pakistan has on the Taliban. Hope this explains!!

    He was president of Egypt when I visited (not shocking). A week after my family visited around 7 Americans were killed by extremists in Egypt. There is still a problem with getting archeology, geological, and any other research done if the results will claim the Earth is older than the traditional religious age. The history of the Pharo's own place 21 dynasties, by ancient Egyptian writing (hyroglyphs are writing I don't care if people disagree) is older than the story of creation with Adam and Eve.

    • @SP1435exe

      What do you mean by "the traditional religious age"?

    • @loraxdavewalters2696
      @loraxdavewalters2696 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SP1435exe The date of biblical creation. Traditional Abrahamic traditions all have the same origin story in Genesis and through the calculations of the generations and ages of which person "begat" which person makes about a 6,000 year old earth. The calendar used by the government of Israel. So the dynasties of Egypt are older than that and the museum in Cairo says the first handful of dynasties are traditional, not to be taken seriously.

    • @SP1435exe

      @@loraxdavewalters2696 Islam doesn't say that the Earth is 6000 years old, not sure about the rest of the "Abrahamic traditions". Anyway everyone knows that the earth is not 6000 years old so what's the point?

    • @loraxdavewalters2696
      @loraxdavewalters2696 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@loraxdavewalters2696 Who said that? Every Egyptian knows that Ancient Egypt is more than 7000 years old. We are always bragging about it like it's gonna help us now or something! xD it's well known even for little kids around here, I'm Egyptian btw hence why I find your story a bit weird!

    It seems like Hosni Mubarak is similar to President Ferdinand Marcos of the Philippines. The opinion on Ferdinand Marcos is also divided into two. To some he is a great leader but others also call him a tyrant. Some old people who witnessed his ways as a leader said that he is good and that Philippines was powerful during his reign. Even the US president at that time complimented him. But sadly, good leaders will never be forever good in the people's eyes due to some envious and vicious officials that wants their position. If this man is actually good but just framed in media or in the people's eyes, all I can say is, there will be a day that every secret will float into the surface. Even if the secret is as tiny as an organism.
